Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Syndicate
SSX
Bastion
Metro 2033
Dear Esther
Borderlands
Amnesia: Dark Descent
Alan Wake
Binary Domain
Uncharted 3
Bulletstorm
Dead Space
Asura's Wrath
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
InFamous 1 and 2
Prototype
Mass Effect: I can only speak for the first one, but if you're a completionist you're in for hell.
Syndicate: I hear this sucked hard. All your abilities are ultimately variations on the same thing, and the boss battles are terrible. Poor man's Human Revolution. (But maybe someone disagrees?)
Bastion: You really should get this one
Metro: Coolest throwing knives ever.
Borderlands: I thought it was repetitive as hell? But I'd be willing to try again with 4-player co-op.
Amnesia: Bar-none scariest game I've yet played.
Bulletstorm: I hated this game. The way you have to cater to the game's combo list... Why couldn't I just string my attacks together my own way, DMC-style? I was just consulting the list to know what attack do next instead of just playing organically.
Dead Space: Scary at first, hilariously overpowered by the end.
Prototype: This game was a really fun powertrip for about 4 hours and then it felt repetitive. New York City is ugly.

Maybe saved you some time?

The end of Halo 3, they clearly didn't want to kill off Master Chief so they left it VERY open. Then when Bungie did their final entry in the Series, Reach, they left a very powerful somber note. The impact of it still hits me and left me with that burning desire to avenge the team. Luckily I can with Halo 4. (technically I did on Halo 1 and 2, but thats beside the point.)

I'm just taking the sequels on a case by case basis. Stuff like ME3 doesn't much interest me, and I'm happy to wait several months to get it on the cheap. On the other hand, I'm really glad Saints Row 3 came along. Been playing that coop with a friend, and it's been non-stop laughter the whole way through. :)

I wasn't even aware that there was a "new" Syndicate game. Things are getting as bad as the movie industry.

Currently playing Metro 2033, probably about an hour left and it was a apocalyptic trip! cant wait for the SEQUEL, Metro: Last Light, but isnt coming out till Q1 2013 :(

Going to start playing Borderlands next, want to be ready for the sequel! i feel like i play all these games that never have sequels and by the time they do make a sequel all these others games have 3 games in the series already (Mass Effect) lol.

Borderlands is great, Metro, Dear Esther, Bastion, and Amnesia are must-buys. I liked InFamous 2 more than 1. Mass Effect 2 is the only one worth giving the time of day- 1 is mediocre, 3 is flat-out terrible.

Yeah that makes no sense to me. I like ME1 a lot because it was more subtle, deeper, mysterious and adventurous, ME2 was still fun but if you stripped out the crew/character development there isn't much plot going for it at all, 20 hours into ME3, I'd say it's an improvement over ME2 in every single way.

Defiantly recommend the Mass Effect series. One of 4 RPG's series I have ever played through or enjoyed. The story, the interaction in-between crew members that make them seem real. The excellent controls and combat. It is the first RPG series I have played that could literally be a movie just based off of the cut-scenes and interacting with the crew, with some combat thrown in. Not to mention its length. I put 40 plus hours into just the second game for my first play-through. Did it a second time. Plus I love the transfer system. So even my choices from the first game effect the last. All the choices and different endings. Though there are more choices in 2 and 3 then one.
I also do not mind it being 3 games as they said the story was going to be 3 games. I hate sequels that they make just to make money with little effort, and were not originally planned. Like Call of Duty. Too many shooters, not enough RPG's.
