What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yes, because LOTR is actually good, and this movie should never, ever be in the same sentence with LOTR. Not sure about the comics, but I will agree with you 100% that this adaptation feels more true to the Conan Novels.

I can't believe how we both like so much of the same stuff, but when it comes to movies we have no kindred conscience. And I'm not ragging on ya nor am I being hostile, it's just sometimes I think you are my Siskel. Trust me, I would love to watch THE AVENGERS with you and then sit down and discuss the movie over brews and chews. That said, a lot of your movie reviews either begin with "It's not that bad", or "wasn't bad", while addressing movies that are 1 star movies. And with that said being said, I have no issue people liking things I don't like.

No time for movies tonight, and with the ACC tournament tomorrow I doubt I will watch any movies, but I am looking forward to going through all the extras on the ALIEN bonus discs.

Lockout clip, this movie looks like fun:
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Let's see...

Space Prison? Check.

President's Daughter needs to be saved? Check.

A loose cannon as the hero? Check.

Someone actually saying the hero is a loose cannon? Check.

This movie reeks of early 90's cheese, and I like it.

Not only did I click on your link back then, I commented on how it was called something different.

The link I posted is a clip that shows off some more of the banter.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Batman: Year One

This was fan-freaking-tastic! One of the best animated films I've ever seen. Any Batman fan NEEDS to watch this. It easily does the comic story justice. It follows the same story and respects the source material. It has such style in the artwork, too. And what a deep and intricate plot. This one is not for the kiddies.

The story follows a young Lieutenant (yep, Leiutenant, not yet Comissioner) Gordorn coming to Gotham City with high hopes and loyalty to the ethics that made him a cop. But what he finds is a corrupt city and a police force that are nothing more than thugs working for the organized crime running the city. He decides to fight against the corruption. This leads him to be shunned by fellow officers, it brings down the wrath of his Commissioner and of the crime lords, and even puts his family in danger; and he makes some mistakes of his own.

Ah, but you're all wondering about Batman, huh? His story runs parallel to Lieutenant Gordon's, mirroring each other. A young Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City after years of training to find it in even worse condition than he left it all those years ago. He vows to his parents to rid Gotham of the scum that now rules it, but does not know exactly how to go about doing this. Watch Bruce Wayne as he takes his first steps into the role of Batman, how he was inspired to take the image of a bat, and watch his first mistakes and how he learns his lessons the hard way. Of course this leads to Lieutenant Gordon and Batman crossing paths for the first time.

I rented this from RedBox, but now I'm definetly going to be picking it up next time I'm at Wal-Mart or Target or something. The movie is more than worthy of a full purchase.

Took me a second to realize it was Debbie Harry in the Nicki Brand role.
