Game and Gamestation in the UK are having some financial trouble at the minute. Sucks to be them, but the big sale they're having to get money coming in is a good thing for me! Definitely worth a look in if you're in Britain.

I picked up these games at Gamestation's sale today, all pre-owned:
Battalion Wars 2 (Wii) - £2
Disaster: Day of Crisis (Wii) - £2
Punch-Out!! (Wii) - £5
The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces (Wii) - £5
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love (Wii) - £8

I left behind some other good deals too, like Trauma Center: New Blood for £2, HOTD: Overkill and Dead Space Extraction for £3, Dragon Quest 6 for £8, Dragon Quest 9 for £10 and Kirby's Epic Yarn for £15. If I had more cash, I probably would've went home with all of those games.

Catrap (CIB)
Castlevania Adventure 2 (CIB)
Final Fantasy Adventure (CIB)

Ebay Finds

You rarely see anyone from the US posting ebay finds, since we all feel that most games should be under ebay value to begin with.
I too find EBay to be a costly route, a desperate last resort. That said, here are a couple that I am very happy with! :D

Gamecube FreeLoader - $19.99 EBay
I had posted and bumped numerous times on my Want List for an OLDER Gamecube Freeloader, happy to finally buy a copy at a reasonable price. Surprised to even see the older uncommon Gamecube Freeloader listed. Why not get the latest Gamecube Freeloader? Only the older Code Entry Action Replay and the Older Freeloader will properly convert PAL 50Hz Gamecube games to NTSC 60Hz.

I now have a secondary method to load my uncommon PAL Doshin The Giant game. If you ever see the older Freeloader grab it, a feature lost on the newer Freeloader and unknown to most sellers.

Note that this disc is for a Euro Gamecube. Region free, it loads on ANY REGION Gamecube!

Star Wars Making Magic - $5.00 EBay
No, not Star Wars Behind The Magic that I have up for Trade, but a more obscure Star Wars Reference CD Rom. This one only runs in the Macintosh or in the PC in DOS and does work in DOS Box. Very nice obscure info on the rerelease of the Trilogy DVDs, the hows and whys of additional footage.

The seller made a mistake and shipped me the Mac version. I sent an EMail and got a quick response and delivery of the PC version. Seller let me keep the Mac version for free, nice having both! 8)

A nice piece of Star Wars history, I'll post additional screen grabs back on my Trade Thread.

Made a return to goodwill and had to hunt for something to use the credit on; saw a PS1 on the shelf and immediately hustled over to the game shelf to see if any games came with nabbed a few:

Clock Tower - 2.99 - disc only but good effort on a reprinted cover
Evil Dead: Hail to the King - 2.99 (complete)

Also went to PnT and got Skeleton Krew for the Genesis $2.50, looked kind of fun.

A weekend or two ago I found Alone in the Dark: The new Nightmare (complete) for 1.99.

Noticed we're getting in to the period where parents of the kids I grew up with are starting to clear out their old stuff, donating it to the thrift stores. Makes for good finds. :)

eBay UK has lots of users and generally they do know the value of games. He must just be keeping his eye open for good deals. You do get some that slip through the cracks.

I enjoyed this game when I first found it for the Dreamcast, I had just been introduced to the Evil Dead series so maybe that added to my enjoyment of the game. Its almost a spot on resident evil clone, but with the atmosphere of the Evil Dead series.

I also enjoyed the ps2 games that came later, completely unrelated to this game, much more of full on action games, but still good.

I actually randomly found one of those lunchboxes at walmart right before Christmas. It was scratched to hell and didn't have a price on it, it also didn't have anything in it and it had one of those "return" stickers on it. I looked around everywhere trying to find one in better shape and asked a guy who worked there about it, he said there should've been another one "somewhere in the store" but had no idea where. It was pretty disappointing. :(
