yup. My random matches online have been fine -- but it's probably matching us with people with good connections. For what it's worth, your connection has shown up red or yellow. Not sure what mine is?

That said, this is nothing like SF4's netcode which was much better. I know Capcom plans to address this -- and to be honest the sound isn't as important to me as the lag. But it needs a serious fix, as I think the game itself is amazing but a current gen fighter without solid online is terrible business.

EDIT: interesting that you chose to up a video of you winning.

Almost bought it today. Was at GameStop, but I decided I'd rather get it on Amazon if I get it. Also looked for that PDP controller noise mentioned in another thread. None to be had.

damn, I hope they're not "rare" at GS now. I saw 2 of them today. Would've grabbed em for those that needed if I thought so.

i just chose to record the last match I wanted to play. I think you won 2/3 of our matches, but all of them were so laggy that it is hard to really count for "bragging rights." Your connection also showed up on my screen as one red bar sometimes (though not every time, as it looks fine in the video).

just kidding around. But weird that I'd have a "bad" connection. My PS3 is wired and my wife isn't using the internet right now to slow things down. Are you wired too?

no, and Netflix was streaming downstairs too....but that has NEVER been a problem in any other fighter in the past, so it shouldn't count as an excuse now.

like I said. They need to fix this shit. The roster is amazing, the move-set is great. But online is integral.
Capcom wrote:Hi everyone, this is Ayano.

With Street Fighter X Tekken going on sale today in Japan, I suspect a lot of you out there are busy training up your skills! However, we are aware of the sound issues that occur when playing matches online.

The new netcode implemented in Street Fighter X Tekken allows for up to 4 players to have a smooth online experience, however depending on the connection stability between players, things like “spontaneous match rollback,” “voice effects cutting out,” and “sound effects cutting out” also are occurring. This netcode is written in a completely different way than the Street Fighter IV series netcode, and that is why these problems are occurring.

As Street Fighter X Tekken is a tag battle game, the amount of data that is exchanged between player connections is a lot more than the normal 1v1 battles of the Street Fighter IV series. In order to compensate for this and provide a smooth gameplay experience, the netcode was written the way it currently is. Unfortunately, this has also brought on the sound problems we are having now.

In order to completely fix all the sound issues, the smoothness of the online gameplay has to be traded off, so it is a very complicated and difficult balancing act. We would like everyone to know that the development team is currently looking at various ways to improve the sound issues.

We will have additional updates on this and other things soon, so please stay tuned. Thank you all for your understanding.

That’s it from me. Everyone please enjoy Street Fighter X Tekken.

See you all next blog!
^whatever that means.

My connect wired vs wireless is immensely different.

I'll be on soon to see how bad this is.

That quote from Capcom doesn't sound that promising, but I'll hope for the best.

My internet connection sucks anyway. So I can't even imagine how much worse it will be on my PS3.

I got disconnected twice and I got demerits for it. My "disconnect rate" says "1%". That sucks, now people will think I'm a ragequitter. :(
