The skate park that I worked at in college is in the Dave Mirra PS game. I've always wanted to recreate that park in THPS2x, and you gave me the extra motivation I need to finally do just that.

Hoffman's game is leaps and bounds better than Mirra's, and I'll never let him forget it. Weird seeing Dave's game when it came out. First time I could play with video game characters that were actually also my friends, on a course where I worked. I hate to use the over used word "surreal", but it kinda was.

TEK/Luke - you guys should put together a 'Definitive Guide to Skateboarding Video Games'

I would eagerly read that.

Okay. I like to keep some anonymity, but since this thread is a great one; I worked as a hockey coach and a "store manager" at the Greenville Bike park off of Golden road, which has now been renamed the *sigh* X-Treme Park.

I haven't talked to Dave in quite a while, but I should look into getting an autographed copy of his game for this years charity auction. Although we used to hang out a lot years ago, I'm better friends with his brother Tim (who was engaged to my wife's best friend, and is an excellent rider) and Ryan Nyquist, who is one of the nicest guys I have ever met and has the funniest episode of MTV's CRIBS ever (I can't help but laugh anytime I see Crystal Lite).

And yup, his game sucks, but he has a home that must be over 6k sq.ft.here in Greenville. Deep down I don't know who Dave really is. Not to bad mouth the guy, but he's a big fish in a small pond and he literally gets upset if people don't know who he is. On one side of the coin, he expects to get everything from club admissions to food at a restaurant for free because "You don't know who I am? I'm Dave Mirra". On the other side of the coin, he does some great work with kids and while in parks is a pretty good role model.

I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10 of being a complete asshole, he's a 4. So he's not that bad, but he's still a jerk. Wouldn't hurt for the guy to be humble from time to time (I'm a hypocrite as I always enjoyed the limo rides from club to club with him).

A definitive guide to Skateboarding Games. Wow, that we be something. Not sure where to even start. T&C Surf Designs? 720?

RSG: Maybe not today, but you've got the gerbil on the wheel as I'm really interested on the chronology of skateboarding video games.

Skate or Die's,Thrasher Presents Skate and Destroy,Go Go Hyper Grind,Yo! Bro (TG16)..Like I said many not discovered so consider me inspired as well

This is gonna happen maybe my first real contribution to Racketboy.

So on another note,
The THPS2 Content for PS1 has been submitted to Sir Noiseredux, and I happen to finish writing the History,Bio,lore and Gap list behind each Skate Park!
With that being said Im really excited that those who decide to download the custom parks will have a chance to shred all the hard work I put into it.

Keep an eye out as I update this threads first post with all the details later this evening :D
