I will also throw out a quick note that Blizzard provides a Mac OS X installer for Starcraft & Broodwar, so you won't need Windows. If you have your original CD key for Starcraft, you can register on Battlenet and download both it and the expansion for free!
Also, Civ IV has a Mac OS X native version which works fine from the time I spent playing it.

I will not be playing Multiplayer, I am a single player campaign guy.
Whats the best AOE for single campaign player?

I did have fun playing the AoE 3 campaigns, but your mileage might vary.
Also, I'm among those who don't consider Civ to be an RTS to begin with.

3's campaigns were much better done than 2's FWIW.Pulsar_t wrote:I did have fun playing the AoE 3 campaigns, but your mileage might vary.

The games are pretty similar otherwise with the exception of a few minor things added to 3 and updated graphics.

Re: Best RTS over the years
Which AoE would u say is best?
btw, can I use my 13inch laptop display for playing RTS? Or shall I wait until I buy an external monitor? I wanted to buy 1 for so long, but since that 1 I bought first like $300 totally sucked (samsung syncmaster) I am afraid to buy any monitor now, especially that most of the ones I find around are Samsung and many of them are labeled Syncmaster

Dune 2000, a nice little update to Dune 2.
Re: Best RTS over the years
I have had a 20" Syncmaster since 2007, perfectly fine with itkingmohd84 wrote:Which AoE would u say is best?

Agreed. I used a SyncMaster 245B for several years and loved it. It was great for the time. 22" and 1600x1200.Pulsar_t wrote:I have had a 20" Syncmaster since 2007, perfectly fine with itkingmohd84 wrote:Which AoE would u say is best?

Now I'm using an Asus ProArt but really wish I had gotten a 120hz display. After using a CRT for my retro games the low refresh is pretty noticeable.
