What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

"I gave my gay waiter an Abe and an Andrew" sounds even filthier.

But seriously people, if you have a waiter or waitress who you can tell is committed to their job and exceeds expectations, show your appreciation with some cash.

Smile: Found out that my book proposal was accepted by series editors :)

Frown: Nada. It was a beautiful day, I got beautiful news, and am about to leave work to go home to a beautiful family and play beautiful video games. Some days life is good :)

I assume you're being purposely vague, but can you give us more detail about your book thing?

EDIT: Oh, and congrats!

It is about video games, and it is for a university press. People on this forum would absolutely dig it, even though it is (at least in part) very much an academic book. Until it gets final approval by the head of the board in a few weeks (something which the series editors assure me is just a formality), I don't want to say too much just yet about the title and specific plans...

In any case, I am stoked.

If you put it on the mantle next to the Ash RE4 chaninsaw, it's on the house.

Release will most likely be early 2013, if everything pans out as planned.

Well its not on the mantle, its on a bookcase with other various videogame items - like my 7800 signed by the part of the Futurama and Star Trek Next Generation casts
