Playing through loads of stuff atm, I needto finish a few off so I can refocus:

Ys: The Vanished Omens (SMS) - Playing through this for Together Retro. I must be past half way now.

Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) - Been playing this for quite a while now, but it's been put on hold so I can beat Ys first. If I don't clear out my other games as I go, it'll be ages before I get to them!

Trauma Centre: Under the Knife (DS) - Picked this up recently. I play in the evenings usually, when I don't feel like a home console game. It's pretty tough though, stuck on this triti virus atm, with lots of respawning triangles.

Grim Fandango (PC) - This is my other game for the evenings, but I've barely started it yet. I'll probably try and finish Trauma Centre first.

Panzer Dragoon Orta (XBox): Another one I haven't played much yet. I dont know if I like it as much as the Saturn versions. This one was my recent Stream game, but I might swap to something else and play it off stream instead.

Kirby's Adventure Wii (Wii) - Playing this in co-op with my girlfriend. It's been on hold whilst we finished Portal 2 together, but hopefully we'll finish it off sooner now.

Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (360) - This one belongs to my girlfriend, we're playing through it together alongside Kirby.

Are you playing this on a Windows '98 computer? I got it to run in XP but it was a goddamn pain.

I'm running it on Vista, which was a massive pain. After I finally made it install and run in admin mode, I needed to follow this to stop it crashing: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=147235

Thew Gran Turismo 5 back in the PS3 and absolutely loving the game. Was a huge fan of the 3rd, got about 95% through the game before I threw in the towel, stuff just started taking too long. My only complaint about GT5 is the lack of events...45 in A-spec mode just doesn't cut it, especially with how short they are. Still have yet to dive into B-spec yet, and I haven't even touched the fourth. Anyone who has played it, is it worth going back to after GT5?

I'm feeling all RPG'd out atm, so I'm taking a break from Xenoblade to play some puzzle games. I've been playing MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade and Art Style: Rotohex, both on WiiWare. Man, these games are tough. I consistently get to the last colour on Rotohex, but with 8 different colours to match, it just becomes too much for me and I lose it right before the finish line. As for MaBoShi, I need 100,000 in all 3 game modes to get the end credits. My records stand at 430,000+ for Circle mode, 25,000 for square and 15,000 for bar, so I have some way to go yet >_<

Decided to sit down and plow through Ninja Gaiden I on the NES. I've heard a lot of people say it's hard, but I'm not inclined to agree thus far. It's very much a game where you have to learn patterns, but once you do things get a lot easier.

Whilst that is true, it doesn't mean that Act 6 isn't absolutely brutal.

People just say it's hard because of how fast you need to be able to react to make it through a level without dying on your first few tries. The fact that you have infinite continues kinda mediates the difficulty, but some of the bosses are still real bastards. And it only gets harder as you keep playing.

I think I found the best way to kill all the bosses:
jumping spin attack.
You can one-shot pretty much all of them with it. Only exceptions are Stage 3 since the power-up doesn't drop there, and the latter forms of the final boss since you lose your power-ups after the first part. Still had a lot of fun with it, though. I didn't really mind the difficulty, and enjoyed trying to figure out patterns of enemies, and bosses weak points. I'll probably revisit Ninja Gaiden II and III down the road as well. Played those two games to death as a kid, and it would be fun to see how much I remember from them. :)
