I just want to know what's been posted about me in the super-uber-secret-mod forums.
Older. Not wiser.

I couldn't comprehend having the time to be a mod. The mods around here are great, but I lack the patience and free time to monitor threads 24/7, which is a responsibility (right?).J T wrote: I don't really want to be a mod.
Though I will say Mr.Toad more than likely makes for a great real life moderator. I would dare to say that if you have a problem, yo, he'll solve it (also be sure to check out his hook while his DJ revolves it). His posts are open minded, and I've never, ever read a hostile post from him.
That said, I'm a little confused. Is being a moderator on the forum a status thingy, or a job that comes with a list of daily responsibilities? I apologize for being ignorant on the topic, but the only other forum I frequent has 1 Admin, 1 Mod. The mod's job (which is paid in chump change) is to inform the admin of posts that could reflect negatively on the owner of the forum's name. We have, what, over half a dozen moderators here?
So what is the chain of command? Does in completely branch off after Nick? Obviously other mods moderate other mods, so a branch of the RB Mod Chain of Command would be nice to see.

Sorry, it had to be done. Real response soon.
Real Response:
- Racket is at the top, with Racketgirl next to him
- After that there is mattbrett - who is our coder for backend work - he is important and no one bothers him.
- Then we have Admins and Mods. Admins are really just Mod+, so I guess they might be higher.
- Then former mods, which are people who have stepped down from being a mod.

CRT is still 451 posts away from being a mod.lisalover1 wrote:Yeah, JT may be next in the lineup. How about CRT? Is he a mod yet?alienjesus wrote:Question: Why isn't JT a mod? He contributes great, insightful posts and thoughtful topics to the forum, is a long time member, and is nearing that fabled 8000 posts
This is the internet... I can't believe you're not used to poor form by now.dsheinem wrote:The only thing in this thread that is poorer form than suggesting yourself as a mod is subtly criticizing or questioning the choices made.![]()

Our job is to ensure that the community runs smoothly. We remove spammers, enforce the BST rules, and ensure that any toxic individuals shape up or ship out. It's less about Racket's good name and more about making this a place that people want to come back to and participate in discussions.Luke wrote:That said, I'm a little confused. congrats you three. Remember to baton them in the back so they can't see the bruises and report you.
