For some people, it's better than $0/hour.YoshiEgg25 wrote: 2:13:20 at $6 is less than three dollars an hour. My god, why would you do that?

SMILE: Weather is gorgeous today. Some parts of the state are expected to hit 60 degrees.
FROWN: I have a meeting with some "consultant" for three hours this afternoon. The last one I attended was excruciatingly horrible and I expect this to be no different.

Smile: The anniversary was nothing short of excellent, and my wife was thrilled with her gift (she slept with the book under her pillow). We had to change our dinner plans, which wasn't a big deal really, as it turned in our favor. One of the highlights of our night (I said "one", not "the") was our gay waiter Chaz.
I honestly couldn't tell if he was actually gay, or just playing the gay waiter role. Either way, the guy's attention to customer service was awesome, and in no way was he annoying; the perfect waiter combination.
So this next part might sound a little odd, but keep in mind that I can't remember the last time I was embarrassed and am also a natural flirt. The waiter called me "hon", and would wink at both me and my wife when speaking. I winked back.
The restaurant is one of those haughty Mexican/Southwest fusion places where a burrito is about $20, but my wife likes the place so there you go. I asked Chaz if he preferred the enchiladas or chimichanga. So Chaz places his hands right below his waist, and then gesticulates how long and thick both were; my wife had to look away as she couldn't stop laughing. I mean, he actually said, while miming with his hands near his crotch, "well the enchilada is about six inches long, and this thick (gives the okay gesture). But our chimichanga is more like eight inches long, this thick (two hands forming an O) and also comes with cream on the side". I replied with "Yum. Well sign me up for that chimi".
The guy had to be messing with us. However he was a good sport, and I also asked him while getting our bill, "If you can get one out of three questions right, I will double your tip". He didn't get a single question right, but he did play along, plus gave us free fried ice cream (I rarely like sweets, but this was the best fried ice cream I've ever had) so I slipped Chaz a Jackson and a Lincoln anyway.

Giving a gay waiter a "Jackson and a Lincoln" has no sexual innuendos.

Because it was certainly better than the ones I get from $1.50-$3 that are much shorter but are really kinda boring with all the questions they askYoshiEgg25 wrote:My god, why would you do that?

giving them a "Michael Jackson" and a "Lincoln Log" might be construed as sexual, though...

After some time out of state for a funeral, it is just plain great to be home. I just don't feel right when I can't see the Rockies out west.
I missed you Denver.
