Isnt the 230V way too much for the 110V Genesis? I was under the impression that plugging a NTSC machine straight into PAL power plug will fry the insides of the machine.
Allow me to clear up a misconception. The Sega Genesis does not run on 230V or 110V; it runs on 9V. In the United States I use a power plug that adapts the 110V AC current in my wall to the 9V power that my Genesis needs. This is why power plugs are sometimes called "AC adapters". You already have a power plug that converts 230V from your wall to 9V. Just use the power plug that came with your Mega Drive.

On the other hand, if you try to use my American power plug in your wall, you would indeed fry your Mega Drive.

OK. Then what you do NOT own, is the correct power source for CDX/Multi-Mega/X'eye. Those expect higher amperage.

The US CDX adapter (unlike its generic looking Multi-Mega equivalent) was given an exclusive design shape and directly states in writing that it is for CDX.

I just realized that the Mega Drive model 2 AC adaptor is different than the one used with Sega/Mega CD, cant plug it in the CD unit as its shaped differently. Does the 32X use same kind of AC adaptor as the Sega CD? I have two of those but only one that fits to a Model 2 MD/Genesis.
Also since some games dont have region protection, is there a list of PAL Mega Drive games that work on Genesis somewhere? Couldnt find from this forum, and all the google results were about Japanese Mega Drive games.

No. 32X needs a Mega Drive model 2 adapter.

Strangely, so does American Game Gear. Some two years before the MD2 released.
