Grandia 2 totally sucked me in when I first played it too. Looking back at it years later, the story is kinda typical overall, but the characters have a charm that pulls you in. Its unrelated, but I love the music too.

It remains one of my favorite games.
I thought Grandia 2 was alright, and certainly worth my time, but it never really had many "wow" moments for me. I felt like it was playing through all the standard tropes. You know, all the stuff that you normally see in a JRPG; antisocial standoffish protagonist, church girl sidekick, quest to get the reallyreallyreally big sword of big swords, demonization of western religion, et cetra. That said, the battle system was engaging enough to get me through the game, although the final boss was a total pushover.
Yeah, I think the first game's story was better about not feeling quite so cliche. The characters were more charming too. Granda II was a good game, but also a good example of how hard it is for sequels to top a classic

I cried every time. It hits even closer if you have a daughter of your own.
Oh, how could I forget about that one? It has even more of an impact because it is an emotional blindside compared to the rest of the game... I have to go play it right now. :P

I've never cried while playing a video game but I can think of a game that was surprisingly dark: Elite Beat Agents
THAT CHRISTMAS LEVEL!!!!!!!! I felt sooo bad for that girl, it was probably the only level in that game that you did NOT want to fail and if you did you would feel TERRIBLE. Ouendan 2's ice skater level was also pretty dark but not quite as sad as the Christmas level.

The Xenosaga III ending made me pretty sad too(I'm gonna stop there to avoid spoilers)

I also felt bad for the murderer in Ace Attorney JFA in turnabout big top(If you've played it you know exactly what I'm talking about). Also Godot..........once again I'm gonna stop here because I am not going to spoil it.

The last case of Trials and Tribulations DEFINITELY takes the cake for the best case in the series. It managed a feeling of scale and epicness that would have otherwise been unheard of for the series. *sigh* I really hope we get Ace Attorney 5. :(

Well, the funny answer is then people with hairy arms.

The serious answer...
Don't try it at home.. Even with a disposable, you can actually draw blood if you move the razor from side to side, but it ends up being a series of nasty paper-deep cuts.

Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

The ending of bioshock 2. Regardless of what you did....
Delta dies in every ending and he does it pretty much out of duty/blindness of "love" for his "daughter".

I just played it yesterday. And yeah, I felt a bit bad for him too, though he DID kill a guy.

Godot is probably one of my favorite video game characters ever. He was also the very first character I cosplayed :D
