Batman and Robin is actually quite good, in a "get some guys together and rip the movie and have fun" sort of way.

As true as that is, there's also hundreds of other movies that serve the same purpose better (starting with Nic Cage's acting career :P)

Not enough booze in the world can make that movie fun.

At least it had Alicia Silverstone when she was still good looking in it.

Was enough for me back then...

Batman & Robin was especially horrible, and while Batman Forever was less-terrible, it was still terrible. Robin is like 30. Batman is cracking jokes. And the fight scenes are like dances, they even had disco lights! It's like the guy directing the films had never read a Batman comic in his life, and pulled everything from the campy 60s T.V. show. Don't even get me started on that show, it gave comics a bad name for far too long. And George freaking Clooney as Batman/Bruce Wayne, are you kidding me?!

...oh yeah, and let's not forget about Bat-nipples.

I've heard that Clooney regrets ever taking that role.

Justice League: Doom. The latest DC Animated movie.

Image

It was pretty good, but not spectacular. It felt like an extended episode of the series, more than it did a standalone animated movie. But it was still an enjoyable watch and recommended for any DC Comics fan, and anyone that watched the Justice League cartoon knows that an extended episode of that series, is a good thing. It does veer from the comic story a bit, but the basics are still there. Nathan Fillon (Firefly/Serenity) voices Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and Kevin Conroy (Batman TAS) returns to voice Batman.

The story is basically the story of JLA: Tower of Babel. Batman has contingency plans to stop every member of the JLA in case they ever go bad or come under mind-control or something similar; he keeps these plans hidden from other members of the JLA. In the story, Ra's Al Ghul discovers and steals these plans, and uses them against the JLA and while they fight for their lives they all realize Batman's betrayal of trust. The movie is basically the same story with some tweaks, and replace Ra's Al Ghul with Vandal Savage (another very similar immortal character, so I don't see why they even changed it).

One thing I had a question about, though. I knew that Vandal Savage was mutated to be smarter than his primitive brethren, and that he was immortal, disease-free, and forever young, but has he always had a healing factor? Or was that added just for this animated film? I don't recall seeing that in the comics before.

There's also a sneak-peek of DC's next animated film: Superman vs. The Elite.

The Initiation.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
