I was talking more about just how a playable character dies. Normally, in any game, your main characters don't die.

I wasn't aware of the raw stat difference between Galuf and Cara though, I just assumed it was the same. Makes me wish I would have made Galuf my Red Mage/Summoner and Faris my Ninja/Hunter. But oh well, too late to change that.

You don't count Yang, the twins, and Tellah to be main characters?

No, I do. That's what I'm saying. After playing FF4, you should be use to your main characters dying.

Oh, I missed that part. I thought you had just said FF5.
I think many people's first RPG was FFVI or FFVII.

I am heading to the Sealed Cave now. I guess this is the part where I need the Float spell. I acquired it during the Tower of Bab-il sequence just before this. I could see someone not having the spell if they have run away from a large number of battles. I have only run from maybe 10 battles total all game.
