Quaid is a bit faster. Only thing I like about Rob is his POWERFUL side laser dismount attack. Quaid's dismount attack leaves a bit less to be desired, but I did a little better. Path was friendlier too

Is there anyone else that plays this game with the sound off? The 'power up' got kind of annoying and the boss music gets me tense. I just turn off the sound completely and play some soothing music. It helped.

Also, I think Quaid really is the best character. Ian might have been a tad too fast for bullet dodging. Either that or I was just too used to Quaid.

I should probably try that as I really don't care much for the music in this game...

One of Psikyo's greatest flaws is that their music is usually pretty uneventful. At least when compared to other shmup composers.

EllertMichael - 431,700 - Quaid - 1-4

my goal for the night was to break 400k so i'm happy with this score for now.

i've recently mapped the dragon dismount to button one so i can slap it with my thumb.
while my girlfriend was playing a credit (she likes the game and broke 200k already!) i yelled "THUMB SLAP DRAGON TECHNICAL BONUS!" and she goes "that sounds like a bad jazz band"

she then went into the other room & made this while i was playing:

Reminds me of Guns N Roses for some reason!

My dragon dismount is mapped to "R" on a Saturn USB pad. I started with an arcade stick, but did much better with a pad.

No, I've been tied up all month for the most part but I'm good now. I'm wanting to just play it on PS2 because I hate playing games on my laptop, but my copy won't be here for a bit. I'm gonna suck it up and play it on MAME in the mean time though.

Going for the technical kills is super exhilarating (seriously I think my heart skips a beat!), and uncovering the gold pots is a lot of fun too. I am loving this game more and more as I start to explore scoring past simply "learning the levels". I'm looking forward to getting better and better as the month goes on!
