For those that don't know, Barrett suffered a legitimate dislocated elbow which, unfortunately, is a lot worse than they originally thought. :(

You can see how and when it happened a couple weeks ago when Big Show tossed Ziggler over the top rope and onto Truth and Barrett.

Edit: Found the video. Potty mouth warning for those who are sensitive about that type of content.
I read this yesterday. Seems like a BS excuse. It's not like stuff like this hasn't happened before, they just find someone else to take Barret's place. I think it has more to do with the Money In the Bank PPV being created. They don't want to take the focus off it. Which sucks, it seemed to mean so much more at Wrestlemania.

The way they built up the MITB PPV last year though, it felt like it meant more than just about any Wrestlemania Money in the Bank match. If they could just do that every year....and not drop the ball right afterward. That's kind of the story of the WWE right now. They build things up well but just can't follow through

To me, Money in the Bank was something special, that was a unique opportunity that happened only once a year, at the greatest PPV of the year. Once they made a whole PPV out of it, it just felt like another gimmick, to me.

Aside from Bossman, how are ANY of these guys guilty pleasures? They are all pretty much liked by fans of all sorts.
I was just listing guys from that 80s-early 90s era that I liked in general. I thought I made that clear, sorry. 8)
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Anyone else watch Raw?

Other than Santino winning the U.S. title, I thought it was pretty good raw. The tag-match between the Wrestlemania main-eventers was pretty good. The "history lessons" from The Rock were pretty entertaining. And Shawn Michaels showing up is always a good thing.

But The Rock has lost it. Last week, and then this week, his live promos have been terrible. He keeps pausing, probably to think what he's gonna say next or to find his place on the cue card again, and the stupid grins are annoying. And the only time he's funny is when it's pre-recorded. It's sad to see one of the greatest of all-time having this much trouble.

Santino winning the US title was definitely a highlight in my book. He may have a gimmicky role but he gets a louder pop than most of the superstars on the roster so I think he deserves it. Plus, he's one of the most entertaining guys they have imo, lol!

As for the Rock, he's definitely lost his edge... but is it intentional? He keeps firing off those cheesy grins but his most recent promos really reveal a very conceited Rocky, even more so than before. In contrast, Cena's promos are meant to convey a more genuine and sincere determination to win; it means everything to him and I'm glad he actually did a promo explaining why he's so upset with the Rock. With what happened during RAW I'm actually more hype going into Wrestlemania than I was before, so their campaign worked (on me, at least).

It really does feel like they're pushing Rock as the sell out heel which, imo, is working pretty well. Going to be interesting to see how much heat Rock can build up outside of Cena's home state.

Wow, you are really Cena's most diehard fan if you think Rock is being portrayed as a heel. Way to drink the kool-aid. Cena's acting more heelish than he ever has in his entire career.

I think the problem is that Cena looks like he's genuinely trying to make the Rock look bad out there. Typically, when you have a good feud going the guys work together to get each other over and discuss the promos they're going to do, but Cena's giving him nothing. Just look at the obnoxious way he kept interrupting the Rock last night. "Yeah, c'mon, whatcha got Rock." The exchanges between those two are getting uncomfortable to watch. There's real heat between those two. I'm surprised I'm the only one in this thread who sees that. It's very obvious, even just looking at the body language between those two. Nothing would please Cena more than to bury the Rock in this feud and he's making no effort to give the Rock anything to work with when they're out there on the mic.

I imagine they don't communicate AT ALL backstage, which is why we're not getting better exchanges between them when they're in the ring with mics in their hand. They can't establish chemistry or play off each other. It's a give and take when two guys cut good promos against each other. You honestly think HBK and Triple H didn't discuss their promo before going in front of a live audience last night?

Fuck Cena. There, I said it

Runefaust rules.

Runefaust seems to understand and take the WWE for what it is, and understands the character arcs better than I do. If not for a few friends, no way would I spend free time watching wrestling, but sometimes a spark like Cena or Punk get me back into WANTING to watch wresting. For me it's the same as most shows; shake some stuff up, redefine characters, and almost try to piss off your collective audience. It works.

Heh. Just saw Santino's reaction on YouTube. His face kinda reminds me of Ed O'Neil's Al Bundy, the rare moments Al would actually win anything.
One of the few times Jerry Lawler is right: It really was one of the greatest things to happen on RAW recenetly.
