Dreamcast Region

Post by ElkinFencer10 »

Is there a way to play European Dreamcast titles on my North American system? I REALLY want to play Shenmue II, but I don't really want to buy an Xbox, at least not right now. Do I have any options other than sucking it up and buying either an Xbox or a European Dreamcast?

Awesome, thanks. I downloaded the Utopia Boot Disk. Do I just burn that to a CD-R? Sorry, I know I'm a noob when it comes to anything about imports, modding, backdoors, etc.

Use this guide to burn the Utopia image: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/hacks/ho ... e-software

Note: You can now add the drivers to ImgBurn which will allow you to burn CDI images, but the guide hasn't been updated with this info yet.

In addition to using a boot disc, there's also a region free BIOS, but it requires a little more know how to setup: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/dc-dev-bios.htm
