Agreed, my cousin and my ex-friend were both definetly were out there. There is this one kid I know who's perfectly fine but gets so many benefits in the school system because he is "ADHD".

I bought my attention defecit girlfriend on ebay. She came with amphetamines and everything.

ADD in no more or less real than any other psychological illness. If ADD is abnormal psychology, what is NORMAL psychology?

Great co-op effort salvaging this thread into something worth talking about. Everyone pat yourselves on the back.

Anyways, ADHD: Just a nicer way of saying your kid is a fuckup. A little parenting and discipline fixes it right up. I've seen it myself.

Agreed.

As the father of an incredibly active 5 year old, I've already been told by doctors and other countless "experts" that he may "suffer" from ADHD and hyperactivity. Granted, sometimes it can be a struggle to get him to listen and pay attention. There were times before when I even thought that maybe I should have just given in and listened to the doctors.

Then we moved into a new apartment and we started getting to know the local neigborhood shithead kids, and it made me realized that we're not doing such a bad job with our own kid. It's amazing how disrepectful and poorly behaved some people's kids are. Parents make too many excuses for their children these days, and I've heard them all by now.

Needless to say, I'm not well-liked by the neighborhood anymore, but it's not my job to feed other people's kids.

(Sorry I'm late on this topic, but I had to chime in on this one.)
