A Look Back at Tech Romancer (Greatest of the DC Fighters?)

As much attention as SFIII - Third Strike, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves get, Tech Romancer is still by far my favorite of the Dreamcast fighting games. Absolutely love it's lightheartedness, and its simplified controls that allowed my friends who don't really like fighting games to play without being overwhelmed by complicated button combos. It's really hard to pick a favorite character too. G. Kaiser is easy to learn, Pollin and Bolon are just awesome for their silliness, and Wise Duck is simply a really cool looking robot. Anyone else here fans of Tech Romancer?

Abso-freaking-lutely. I had the honor of playing the arcade game first. I loved the anime-style and the Capcom-polish the game had. Very easy to pick up and play. I used nobody but Pulsion.

Then I found out it was coming to the DC. When I got that, I made sure to get that. So much to see and do, tons of unlockables, the Hero Challenge Mode is a great replay value, and I loved the VMU minigames.

I could say so much more, but it's one not many know about for the DC.

The other thing after playing so much Tech Romancer lately is that now I want to track down a copy of Capcom's other giant robot fighter, Cyber Bots. :D

Ah, have you been listening to the lies Devilot has been spewing? (She's such a player.)

Cyber Bots looks cool, but it really doesn't seem that balanced to play.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
