Noiseredux will be uploading the Custom levels in time for our upcoming Together Retro.There are a total of 5 Custom Parks and 4 custom Characters,but feel free to create your own character.Down below I will be listing the parks with History and Info as well as the Gap List,so grab your elbow pads,wrist guards and mouth piece and lets shred.
Park List
Ben Soto Skate Park
Location:Midland Beach SI,NY
Park Type:All Around (Ramps,Vert,Bowl and Street obstacles)
History:Opened April 21st 2005,Staten Islands 1st skatepark is opened to the public.A chlidhood dream of many local BMX riders and a Tribute to a fallen hero Ben Soto.Unfortunately the park is currently "Temporarily" closed due to lack of maintenance and needed repairs,many of the staff and extremeist have started a Petition to keep the doors from closing for good.(I should've posted the link).
THPS2 Features:Fairly accurate recreation of Ben Soto park,with minor modifications due to certain limitations within the editor otherwise pretty darn close.All game modes are supported,especially HORSE (SKATE,POSER) and Trick Attack are Highly reccommended.A character toned down in stats (Sim Style) will most likely benefit from this layout.
GAP LIST-Named after mementos that took place at the park.
1)Augie Front Flipped This-An awesome friend and gnarly BMXer was the only person Ive ever seen do this.You wont have to replicate the move but will have to find where to accomplish this particular GAP.
2)Stair Grind-Easy enough,Ive spent many days incorporating this object into my lines.Theres supposingly a video "somewhere" where you can see me 5-0 in the background during and interview with some government official.Yes its a grind type GAP.
3)Thats Cray Cray-This came about as an added challenge specificaly for THPS,no one could actually do this in real life but in Tony Hawk you can...Its a manual type GAP.
4)Dont break a wrist-Yes I did but the show must go on.During opening day early into my demo I was 5-0ing (once again) and slammed HARD.I wasnt stopping there Ive waited a while to have a park to skate and had a crowd to please.Nothing to difficult in game but none the less belongs here,Its a grind type GAP.
5)Trick box nailed!-The most versitile ramp in the park,set perfectly for all types of fun while being the center of a very smooth run.Grind,Air,flip do whatever but this is a grind type GAP.
6)Monster Gap-Well suited for the massive air that can be accomplished in this game and well suited for the vert guys,I've only heard of a few people actually try this..Safe to say this is a Air type GAP.
7)These benches Fo sk8n-Last but not least in the all I can fit gap list,you have these purty benches made of plastic that nobody sat on.I happen to pull my best grinds on these,half cab nose slide to shove it out & backside Krooked grind to nollie shove it out..Man thinking about it makes me wanna skate again!
Da Spot:Aka the Skate Park of Tampa.
Location:Tampa,Florida
Park Type:Street/Vert
History:Very well known as being one of the best skate locations in the world.Professional Contest held annually,shark tank for noobs and layout changes frequentley to keep things fresh.I was last in Fla back in 2000ish and made a trip once or twice aweek to this park loved every minute and learned alot there.When I left Florida the park went through extensive changes and upgrades and has a great shop inside!
Also know for an horrific crash sustained by the owner attemping the loop of death,I could only imagine how many people have busted their asses here.After all it is a pro park.
THPS2 Features:Again based of memory to my extent,a pretty straight foward design with things here and there.Unfortunately no loop of death in this version but TH is about having fun and pulling the perfect line try after try.Enjoy this skateboarding capitol of the world!
Gap list:No extensive meaning like Bens Park,but fun to find and added bonus points when versing a friend.

High School Sessions
Location:What neighborhood dosent have a school where the kids can gather after school and come home with some bloody shins.
Park Type:Street all the way!
History:This is where you make history,anything goes,just chill out practice freeskating and hurting yourself on most things that werent made to skate.I wish there was more to it but by the time I finish making this park,there was no more memory to add much of anything else.
*NOTE-No Gap list or H.O.R.S.E settings,feel free to edit stuff around and stay away from the drinking fountains.
Portal Pipes
Location:If Half Life had a Skate Park.
Park Type:Go BIG or Go Home.
History:The theme/Decor to this park reminded me much of when I played Portal on The Orange Box,so I ran with it.Can be tricky to navigate and has a reverse polarity type vibe to it and the Gap list has my favorite quotes from the game otherwise very little to do with each other.Still cool IMO.

Well there you have it folks about a month of creating and sacrificing Ys Together Retro I came up with this mish mosh of maps for all of you to enjoy.I wanted to make more but didnt wanna come up dry and this seemed just about the right amount to get you guys going and inspired to come up with some of your own creations and have a little fun.Skateboarding is about creativity and having fun with having a little competion with the buds,so enjoy!
