That is freaking awesome. Despite my disappointment with the demo (much of it stems from the fact that I just don't enjoy TPS or FPS games) I'm gonna have to buy this. I just love the Yakuza team way too much. I'm sure I will enjoy it on some level.

A big problem I have is that they have already experimented with the TPS genre in Ryu ga Gotoku: Of The End (Yakuza: Dead Souls). It was not that great, but still fun. The RPG elements (although poorly applied) kept my going. After playing Binary Domain, it just doesn't seem like they learned anything. The gameplay feels tighter in some ways because gunplay has become the main focus (another thing that disinterests me), but overall it feels even more generic than their previous TPS. Only time will tell though. I'm more than willing to give anything the Yakuza team produces a shot.

The demo gameplay made me feel exactly like Gears of War did; "This is very well made, but it does nothing to interest/engage me and is just the same mindless stuff over and over again." I hope playing the game changes my mind though, like Vanquish was able to with the TPS genre, but I am very apprehensive.

The reviews are kind of uneven, but public reception has been pretty good. The thread over at NeoGAF is something like 90% love the game and the other 10% say it isn't worth the initial full retail price, but that it's a good game.

If I hadn't already dropped almost $90 on Under Defeat HD, I would probably be picking Binary Domain up this weekend.

The Windows port runs rather well, but the control scheme leaves a lot to be desired. Fortunately it can be re-configured, but mouse sensitivity is uneven.

I read there is a PC patch that fixes some of the issues.

I was playing the PS3 demo tonight. Really wish I had the cash to get this right now.

RockPaperShotgun really tore the PC version apart... Did it get a physical release, too? I can't find one so I'm probably going to get the PS3 version when it's cheaper.
