xmen vs street fighter saturn
i know a bunch of jpn games came in cardboard boxes with the ram carts packed in. was xmen vs street fighter only available with the ram cart? i cant find any copies that have a spine card and back art. i know metal slug and marvel vs street fighter we available without the ram cart.

Ram cart with no back art is correct. My copy and every one I have ever seen is packaged that way.ninjainspandex wrote:i know a bunch of jpn games came in cardboard boxes with the ram carts packed in. was xmen vs street fighter only available with the ram cart? i cant find any copies that have a spine card and back art. i know metal slug and marvel vs street fighter we available without the ram cart.

haha when i first got my copy of ebay i almost reamed out the seller because it had no back art and he never mentioned it. then i did some research and felt dumb haha. i just hate that it sits on my shelf and its the only game that doesnt say what it is on the side

Re: xmen vs street fighter saturn
My advice: Leave it in your Saturn. You'll benefit in two ways: One: you won't have to look at it on your shelf and Two: you'll always have it ready to play.ninjainspandex wrote:haha when i first got my copy of ebay i almost reamed out the seller because it had no back art and he never mentioned it. then i did some research and felt dumb haha. i just hate that it sits on my shelf and its the only game that doesnt say what it is on the side
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I prefer to play the real deal if only to avoid wearing out the laser prematurely.

The only way it would make the laser assembly wear out faster is if the organization on the disc was poor and it was constantly moving back and forth seeking. Hell, some .iso DC games are optimized better than the original prints for faster loading and a lighter load on the disc drive.ninjainspandex wrote:Thats only a problem with the dreamcast and even then i think its an old wives tale ive been playing burned games on my dreamcast for over a decade and its still going strong.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: xmen vs street fighter saturn
My Dreamcast quit about a month ago and it was in service for nearly 10 years. Only non-game discs I used were the Dream Explorer ISO (for less than a year) and my DC-X boot disc. I think Shenmue II killed it (being an import PAL title and all)

There is a standalone version with back cover and spine card: http://www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-gam ... r-JPN.html
I have both of them.
