Mario Kart Arcade Cab.

Post by pompeyparsons »

I never eat fast food as I think it's gross, but I'm the best man in my buddies wedding and his fiance loves McDonald's so yesterday we went to our local one and there sitting instead of a play place they had a Mario Kart Arcade Cab! The thing was awesome! It cost $3.00 to play but I thought it was worth every cent.

I was looking online to try and find a price but there way to expensive and only a limited amount have made them to the states thus far.

In any case here's a pic and if you get a chance I'd suggest playing it it's pretty damn fun.

LOL yeah it's a bit pricey I've never seen one before. At a McDonald's in Michigan.

And yeah it's the one made by Namco with all the Pac-Man characters added to it.

Yeah I know the MK arcade; it's usually $1 to play when I find it here but I've yet to see the second one.

I don't think i've ever paid more than £1 to play it!

I wasn't very impressed with it. The courses are far too short and you only get one race for the money.

I think my biggest issue with it was the fact that the courses didn't have very much variety like its console brethren. Its a bit of a shame, because the game itself could be a lot of fun with all the little extra touches they added to it, but without a solid course variety, the game falters quite a bit.

They are quite common in the UK I think, strange that. We usually get the bum deal when it comes to video game releases.

The more I read, the more I think a may have over paid, but hey $3 might as well give it a go. I was just shocked to see something like it in a McDonald's in my small time it was one of those "What the Hell" moments. I'll have to wait a couple months for my next venture into a McDonalds and see if they've lowered the price a little and I might give it a go.

For now though I'll just stick with my Super Mario Kart for the GBA.

There was another mall in Michigan that had it. Flint maybe? I can't remember...
