Dragon Blaze is fun!
I never really sat down with it or looked into its mechanics...
Just a few credits to try it out and have some fun.
I'm really looking forward to playing and discussing it

EllertMichael - Quaid - 1-3 - 203,500

EDIT: Just found a Superplay

Dunpeal2064 - Quaid- 1-4 - 274,000 - MAME

Realized it was March just as I was about to call it a night, so threw a credit in.

A scoring game. Fuckin yes.

This game is nuts. The Boss Techs are insane. having to fly up in the bosses face and not shoot or bomb? I'm also still not sure how the coins work, gonna dig into this one more soon though.

Psikyo blew me away visually with Sengoku Blade, but I hadn't seen any other games by them that hit me visually, but this one is a beat. I love the color schemes, the psychedelic stages, and the crazy enemies.

I wish I wasn't stuck playing this on MAME.

Edit: Gave that superplay a watch. So, pretty simple scoring, hit everything up close with the dragon over and over for coins, spawn hidden gem spewers, tech bonus the boss.

it sounds easy, but it sure isn't. Will try for something a little better tomorrow, I should not be up.

hmm, I did do a 100K+ run at one point, but I guess I didn't post it. Oh well. I didn't care for Axelay too much, yet I don't think I can bring myself to put it up on BST. Weird, huh?

I am looking forward to giving Dragon Blaze a run today or tomorrow :)

Well as you guys know I'm a little flakey on scores sometimes so let me know if I missed a post.

Damn you guys are quick though, OP updated now. I just got lucky on eBay and got a NTSC-J copy for $68 shipped from seller hit-japan. His listing was 30% off for some reason so I jumped on it. Hopefully it doesn't take forever to get here, but I'll be playing the MAME version till it does.

that's an awesome price! I got lucky and nabbed a EUR copy off eBay for under $20. The box is a little beat with ex-rental stickers, but it's CIB and definitely a great price. Oh, and it has a NTSC setting in its menu when you load it up.

I was never able to get past mjmjr, so I never posted what I got. I didn't hate Axelay, although it's not a favorite, you're right.
