I'm going to get a new connector, hopefully it works. Does anybody know where the cheapest replacement connector would be?
Also besides the screen just always being white, I've got it a few times to be this jumbled kind of screen. I'll post pictures.

If you're just getting garbled graphics, it is just the same issue of all the pins not making contact. It's just that you got a little bit farther in the loading process before failure. Swap that connector out.

It's official. I pretty sure my motherboard is fried.
I just got my new connector today, and it isn't doing anything. I'm getting garbled graphics, but nothing related to the game. I guess I'm going to have to get a new board. Does anybody know where I can get a new board besides... http://www.nesrepairshop.com/online_sho ... ductID=126
?
I don't really want to pay 24 bucks for a new board, which is about the price I find them in my local classifieds for the whole nes. Or if anybody else has any ideas what might be the problem. I think I might have short circuited one of the chips with static, I shouldn't have reassembled it on my carpet. Or i'm thinking it might have been the WD-40 I used to fix the squeaky springs in the loader. I think the WD-40 might have dripped down onto the board; and that did something. I don't know what happened.
Anyways if anybody want to buy an nes board that doesn't work, message me I guess. Maybe you can get it going. I guess I could post pictures of the board. I don't see any burnt out resistors or capacitors or anything.
Thanks for your help in advance

If the connector isn't solving the problem for you, I'd recommend just using it for parts and getting another one (unless it has some sentimental value to you.) Too much cost to replace the board after shipping.

I found a board on ebay for 16 bucks that I'm buying. Not too bad of a price

Not sure if this really helps, but I'll sell you a boxed NES with a new 72 pin.
