Its a project pc that has HDMI out and should be for sale for a ridiculously low price. Meaning that once they drop, and I can get a few, I will have to redo my mechpod plans.

More specifically:
Ultra low powered motherboard with embedded elements. SDHC, RCA video, HDMI, and USB port (the more expensive model has 2 usb ports and a ethernet port). The intended use is to teach kids in schools about the inner workings of pcs, but alot of tinkers are seeing them and salivating at the idea of a $35 a 700mhz arm pc with 256 megs of ram that pulls 700ma that is smaller than a deck of cards. 700ma means you could run it off of four AAs for some time.

And yes, it can run Doom. IT can even run Quake 3:


Pretty impressive for a project box board.

And if it works aswell as it looks like it does, it might be the center of a racketboy article...

It´s a pc so small you can mod it into any console :!:

Being exposed like that wouldn't humidity be a problem?

Given the above posts I start thinking it would be interesting to see this adapted to run emulators on a handheld case, with a modest screen, fed by a dedicated rechargeable battery (note that you'd need to power both the screen and this as well.
