This is my son's very first run on this game (not counting some messing around on supercade)

138,600 - mjmjr25's kid - stage 3 - Arcade

I'm pretty confident i'll surpass this very easily, but I wanted to get something posted to get this thread running.

Really unique shooting mechanism, you have a straigh-ahead bullet, but also a ship that you constantly rotate clockwise 360 degrees around you, using the 1st and 3rd buttons. This will take some getting used to, control wise, but a very different style of shmup.

Any reason why the Capcom Classics Vol 2 versions (PS2, PSP, XBox) aren't accepted?

They should be fine.

In the ps2 version, you can use twin stick controls, which def makes the game easier, but I think you can opt for classic controls as well.

I sold rayforce, souky, and this. FML.

which Souky? I'm trying to find the PS1 version, which seems to be a difficult task.

Had no idea it was on those compilations, by all means give em' a shot, do they have arcade mode? I'll put em' on the list.

those compilations are arcade versions. I *think* the only non-arcade port on them is Super Ghouls N Ghosts (SNES).

not the greatest shmup in the world eh? At least some nice colorful graphics and expressive bosses...

EDIT: I'm coming for your score tonight Mike.

No, not the greatest, but certainly a unique take on the genre. Plus, i'm very partial to HORI's because i'm better at them and I have more of them for my cabs, hence this purchase.

I'll give this some love this week, glad to see someone else playing other than me and my son.
