When handhelds could fit in your pockets...
Re: When handhelds could fit in your pockets...
I never put portables in my pant pockets but just for you guys. PS Vita in my fairly tight pants pocket. Fits fine. Looks stupid.

Is that a Vita in your pocket or...?ZenErik wrote:I never put portables in my pant pockets but just for you guys. PS Vita in my fairly tight pants pocket. Fits fine. Looks stupid.
Where do you go that has had multiple shootings? Virginia Tech? Northern Illinois? It usually isn't THAT prevalent.captainhavoc wrote: I'd have one if I was 21 or in the military, though I'd never be able to use it since my college has had multiple shootings and is understandably averse to the idea of concealed carry.

Re: When handhelds could fit in your pockets...
Honestly, I never go out with my handhelds because:
1. Fear of getting it stolen, despite my area being pretty safe compared to most of the country.
2. My iPod Touch is very thin, and I'd rather listen to music than bury my awareness in a game. And yes, I value my game systems over this thing.
Although I find that the DSL/i and 3DS are perfect for my pockets, next to the SP and Micro of course. The GBP is also nice, but the brick is just too damn heavy.
But if I'm on a trip, I'll just have a backpack anyway, and long vehicle/plane rides will be when I bring game systems.

This thread is kinda dumb. No offense.

Okay. This pisses me off.Stark wrote:This thread is kinda dumb. No offense.
If you don't like the thread, whatever, that's not what I'm annoyed about.
If you're going to say something offensive, don't say "No offense". It doesn't make it any less offensive. In fact, it makes it more offensive. It's so fucking stupid. What are we? 12?

Anyways, a forum is a place to express thoughts and ideas. If you think a thread is dumb, don't post. I don't really see why you came in here just to say it was dumb. If it's that dumb, why waste your time on replying?
I was just sharing my frustration with the fact that devices seem to be getting larger and that I find it to be an inconvenience. Frankly, if this thread is stupid, then all our "Top 100" threads must make your mind explode.

Oh come on. I thought that I said it pretty light-heartdly. Sorry to enrange you. And yes I did say "no offense" in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Okay. This pisses me off.Stark wrote:This thread is kinda dumb. No offense.

Here, I'll share why I think this is dumb. Handhelds have almost never been about being in your pocket. Gameboy? No. Game Gear? No. Gameboy Color? No. Turbo Express? No. Original GBA? Not really.
It's mostly been things like the GBA SP that were custom fit for your pocket. When is this magical time that handhelds were for your pockets?
EDIT: Maybe I should have put an eyeroll after my comment? Nothing I say on here is meant meanly, sorry.

Re: When handhelds could fit in your pockets...
It's hard to gauge how one is saying something through text without emoticons. The rant still stands about those who use "No offense" though.
Anyways, the GameBoy Pocket, Color, GBA, SP, Micro, and NGPC all fit into the pocket reasonably well. Although I can't argue many of the competitors never seemed to take pocket sizing into consideration. Perhaps I'm one of the few that considers it important (this thread would certainly suggest that). I don't travel with any sort of carry-bag anymore, which I'll admit spurred me to carry my DS around with me everywhere.

For most of those aren't you worried about scratching the screen when placing them in your pocket?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:It's hard to gauge how one is saying something through text without emoticons. The rant still stands about those who use "No offense" though.![]()

Nope, I don't put anything in the same pocket as the system.Stark wrote:For most of those aren't you worried about scratching the screen when placing them in your pocket?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:It's hard to gauge how one is saying something through text without emoticons.
