it's not the cuteness that makes Hyperdimension great, it's the ridiculousness.

Heh. Being a fan of moe anime, I have to partially disagree. It's both. But there's A LOT of fan service going on in these games in more ways than one. And mk2 is supposed to have more of that than the original. Early reviews suggest that mk2 is a much better game.

Anyway, Atelier Totori just seems a bit more modest. And the character designs are great. I loved the Atelier Rorona designs. The gameplay left a bit to be desired.

I played some mk2 last night. It kicks ass, I can already tell I'm going to like it better than the first one (which was one of my favorite games of 2011). Much more refined and the new characters are awesome.

My copy had better arrive today. I need a new RPG since I am done with Eternal Sonata!

I returned my copy of FFXIII-2 when I was funding my Vita. Maybe I should rebuy that sometime. :P

I managed to track down and buy a brand new copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia for $30 tonight.

Looking at online prices for used copies I think that's a small victory.

The big box edition or just the standalone game?

Just the regular edition. If it was the Premium Edition I would have to throw away my underwear.

Plenty of GameStop stores around here have it for $30 now. Although they probably only have 1 copy, which would make it "GameStop new". Meaning, not sealed and potentially "borrowed" by employees...
