Hey! Sorry for the long delay, I hope it didn't seem as if I had forgotten. I haven't responded in a while because I've been trying to get hold of a MegaDrive DC cable, just so I could rule that out.
Luckily, I have a friend who is also into retro gaming, and he let me borrow his Megadrive Model 1 power cable. Lo and behold, by using the Megadrive Model 1 DC cable instead of the AC Nintendo adaptor, all three of my Super Famicoms have been alleviated of their respective problems. They all work like magic!
I just want to thank all of you for helping me work out this problem! I truly appreciate the suggestions you've given me. Funny that it turned out to be the power of all things, but I'm over the moon that it's now working. Cheers, guys.
