Mr. Bungle is an awesome band. Dig their first album, hilarious songs with crazy ass structure that only Mike Patton would think of. Also, he did one album with The Dillinger Escape Plan that's great if you like a little metal.
if you dudes love thrash check out GHOSTLIMB, SKELETONWITCH, and DEMIRICOUS. i just saw all three of these bands this weekend and can tell you with certainty that they rule.
i mostly listen to a lot of punk, hardcore, metal, and the like. but i like pretty much all music.

Irony is a Dead Scene is my favourite Dillinger album. It's the only one I can listen to over and over again. Plus their cover of Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy is awesome.Koopin_Krackerz wrote:Niode wrote:Shit I completely forgot about FNM. I LOVE that band. Disco Volante is an awesome album I like all of Mr Bungles albums, again for different reasons. Have you heard the General Patton vs The X-ecutioners album yet? That is all kinds of awesome if you like hiphop. It's very similar to The Avalanche's first album in that it's all done with vinyl and scratching, apart from Patton's vocal parts obviously.

well, no, i guess i mean to say i hate his voice and his "musicianship." he's got this false notoriety because he's surrounded himself with great musicians and all he has to do is wail and yarble.Niode wrote:

that dillinger record with him on it is easily my least favorite dillinger album, sans the new one. it's all about under the running board. three songs, short, to the point, tech as hell and fucking brutal. that 7" rules.
i love old hydrahead and relapse stuff, but it seems like lately they've been putting out too few good bands.

I would also recommend these thrash bands
Bonded By Blood
SSS
Merciless Death
Municipal Waste - saw them live the same day as Skeletonwitch, they are awesome live, I also got to meet the band plus Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust, we went backstage and party (best concert ever)
