Re: MAME article on the front page of RB
What did I do? I havent viewed the mainpage in sometime - work has it blocked.
Edit:
Oh, that mame setup guide was probably posted. Does it make sense? Racket and I threw that one back and forth for atleast six months.
My beta tester for the guide was my father. I started making guides like that to teach him how to connect his pc to hotel wifi while traveling. It vastly cut down his calls to me in the middle of the night.
Thanks for reading it RSG.

The guide makes sense.
Unfortunately, I followed it to the letter and still can't get it to work. No Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for me....
I use the Audit function as instructed but the ROMs don't pop up in the menu like it says they should on the guide.

Hmm... did you make sure the ROMs are in the folder as a .zip? I have MAME as well as about 6000 ROMs for it. While the moral question comes into play, you can always try and find a Torrent that has it prepackaged with working ROMs.marlowe221 wrote:The guide makes sense.

marlowe, like jaundice said, is the TMNT rom still zipped? If it is, you might just have a bum rom for your version of MAME. MAME32 is usually more forgiving about the different sets, but it can still be finicky about it.
Also how big is your rom zipped? Is it something like 1.76 megs?
