Pissed: I spent 3 hours grinding a die block today, and made it .0005 too small. Then I had to redo it. Half a thousandth...

You know the expression “Missed it by a hair?” Well, I missed it by 1/10th of a hair. Hair is approximately .005 in diameter.

Yay: Just started playing UMvC3 Vita online. I have nothing but wins so far. 5 straight wins.

Nay: I'd have double that number if people would take their losses like a man.

That's just the number of that release out of the number for the near. Same number as the general release one. I have no idea how many TH or STH they make.

I got one. As a "junker" I tend to pick up quite a bit of stuff, my latest acquisition: a dental chair in perfect working order. My intention was to flip it and restore financial order to my life. On the way home with it in the bed of my truck, I was imagining my good fortune when suddenly, up about 200 yard was this jackass. He was pulling a long flatbed trailer full of stuff which I assumed he was heading to the dump with. As I was daydreaming about my finacial security I was rudely interrupted by a flying couch hurtling towards me. I hit the brakes whilst shouting curses to the very gods and swerved off the road. Then I heard it, amidst the screeching tires, a "snap" followed by a large and loud thud behind me.

I assumed I had been rear ended, to which luckily, I wasn't . The 400 pound or so chair, coerced by inertia, broke free of the tiedowns and slammed against the front of the cab. I wasn't immediately thinking of the chair, but of the traffic now barreling towards a couch in the middle of rush hour on the busy highway. I hopped out and retrieved it before too many cars created a backup. As I pulled not my couch off the road I got angry looks and pretty sure a few gestures. Two guys ran up to me and apologized. The same two who had completely neglected to secure their couch. WE carried it back to their flat bed where I mentioned something about my possible misfortune and their neglect. They apologized and thanked me for my trouble.

I got home and promptly checked on my merchandise. The chair tipped over and slammed fragile wooden back first into the steel bed. It was torn up and the controls were lying splayed out. The cushions were dirty and torn. I was pissed. Now I got to figure out what to do and how to fix it, all because I was concerned about safety....

I'm sorry man, that sucks. People need to learn how to properly secure things to their vehicles. A few years ago I clipped a washing machine that had just fallen off a flat bed. Could have been a lot worse if I had slammed into it head-on (I was going about 65 mph).

Friends called me paranoid since I wont follow any vehicle carrying anything that could fall off and hit me.

Glad that you avoided that couch. :)

 About three days ago my car's clutch & clutch housing decided to explode while I was going 50mph in traffic down a busy highway. Two insurance claims and a tow later (flying debris) it's now at a shop and I'm in the clear as the vehicle was purchased so recently I was absolved of the liability/no sweat off my back given I wouldn't have had a chance to notice or fix it in such a short time.

 FAFSA check came in yesterday, time for a new clutch case and transmission work!

First off, glad to hear you survived the incident and were polite enough to help with getting the sofa out of the road.

But, does "junker" mean you dumpster dive, or is that a term for people who go to thrift shops/garage sales/etc.?

Smile: The weather. Simply gorgeous outside, perfect outdoor activity weather.

Frown: My local disc golf course was replaced with a softball stadium.

:x :x WELL FUCK MY MASS EFFECT 2 SAVE SEEMS TO BE LOST

I don't understand how that could have happened, unless it got deleted when I uninstalled the Game Data from the 360 Hard Drive to make room to install other things - I didn't think this would erase my save data, though. All of my saves from Mass Effect 1 are still intact, but I can see nothing from ME2. I have a file on there called "Mass Effect 2 Importer," but that's it - I think this is what the system used to start ME2 with the ME1 character, but I am not sure. I'm ticked because I played the main campaign through to completion and I had played all the DLC for ME2 except for the Arrival, which is what I was planning to boot up today. Imagine my shock when I was confronted with only an option for "new game".

Any ideas about whether my file is still available or recoverable at all? I really don't want to try and play through the entire thing again (let alone in one week), and I guess the money I spent on "The Arrival" is essentially wasted. Does ME3 have some kind of "what choice did you make" quiz that I can use to start it with something approaching the team I had in the last game?
