The PSP could fit into my jean pockets, but it was a bit too long and I was always afraid that I would scratch the screen somehow, so I wouldn't put anything else in that pocket. It really did limit what I could carry with me when I was out. Now the Vita from what I've seen probably couldn't fit into a jeans pocket easily, but I haven't tried before.

It's slightly longer than the PSP but as thin as the PSP Slim. That's not what makes it real bad though, the analog sticks, unlike the PSP nub, protrude a fair amount out of the system.

This thread made me think of the school I work at. The kids like to sneak out their DS's to the bathroom with them so they can get in a few rounds of Pokemon while pooping. They can't fit the systems in their pockets (little kids = really little pockets) so they shove them down the front of their pants. Whenever I see a kid walking down the hall all bow-legged holding his crotch I know exactly what his plan is.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand... I've never really desired to stick a handheld in my pocket. I mostly play them in my own house and if I need to travel I can just toss 'em in a backpack.

I do wish every handheld had a enclosing clamshell case like the SP/DS/3DS however. It's nice to not have to worry about screen scratches.

Whoops, meant to say "i". What I was thinking was "everything but the bulky original and that iXL monstrosity".

Is that a 3DS XL in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? ~ZeroAX

Of course, smaller isn't always better. I'd love a GBMicro if it wasn't so micro.

From personal experience, I can fit the GBC, GBA SP, Gameboy Micro, and Wonderswan Color in my pocket normally. If I'm wearing baggy pants, I can fit any DS model except DSi XL, and the PSP models. Good luck trying to get a Gamebrick or Game Gear there though. Never seen a NGPC or a Vita in person though, so I can't be the judge of either.

I got the Hori case for my 3DS. It fits, it holds games, its padded, has a zipper. Real cheap too, got it for about $6. Perfect for throwing in the messenger bag. Being the obnoxious guy I am, I make sure the shoulder buttons are facing up, to avoid breakage.

I do have a Game Boy Micro accompanied with a flash cart. That goes in my pocket every now and then.

And holy hell, I used the words cheap and Hori in the same description.

Cell phone in one pocket, GBA in the other for me, fits right in the front pants pocket. I would hate to sit on it. The flash cart is a good idea, I'm limited to four to six GBA carts before I look too endowed.

I can fit a PSP in my pocket easy, and I'm a skinny guy, but that will scratch the screen a bit. I usually put it in a case. Since I mostly bring it to school, it just goes in my backpack, but if I'm going somewhere else I can put it and a tough case on the inside of my sweatshirt, zip up, play ultimate frisbee for two hours, and it'll be fine. They're really well-built :D
