I wonder if the PS3 version has the same problems. Maybe I'll pick up both since I got a buttload of Amazon Japan points to burn. I don't plan to play in tate anyway.

I'd say the possibility exists that Under Defeat will see a patch, Mamoru-kun, G.rev's other game, got a patch.

So apparently the game does not full screen when you play on an SD CRT in TATE. From shmups, it sounds like people are messing with the console display options on their 360s to warp and stretch the picture to almost get a 4:3 image in TATE.
Still no video. Still no photos. Still no word on the PS3 version. Though I wouldn't expect any different at this point.
This is really frustrating. How difficult is it to take a quick snapshot and post it? Me? I'd video it and have it on youtube in a matter of hours.
*sigh*
I wish my copy would just get here.

Re: G.Rev Bringing Under Defeat to PS3 and Xbox 360
why are people playing xbox 360 games on a sd tv? why not just buy the original dc game then why pay for an hd remake to play on a sd tv? and isnt it a hell of alot easier to tate a flat screen tv i think you can even buy wall mounts that pivot.

Because playing the massive amount of verts the 360 has on a CRT in tate is awesome. You cannot question it. It's awesome.ninjainspandex wrote:why are people playing xbox 360 games on a sd tv? why not just buy the original dc game then why pay for an hd remake to play on a sd tv? and isnt it a hell of alot easier to tate a flat screen tv i think you can even buy wall mounts that pivot.
The real question is "why does G.rev screw everything up?"

Am I the only one that doesn't care if it's not a 100% super accurate in every possible way port and that just wants to kick back and play it on PS3?

That's fine... but what if your PS3 is hooked up to a CRT? You get to play in a box within a box. Yay.brunoafh wrote:Am I the only one that doesn't care if it's not a 100% super accurate in every possible way port and that just wants to kick back and play it on PS3?
...and actually we don't even know if that's the case. Because no one can seem to fucking report on how it plays on PS3.
Re: G.Rev Bringing Under Defeat to PS3 and Xbox 360
Well, people expect arcade mode to... well, you know... play like the arcade original. Not everyone is content with merely blowing shit up, but it is perfectly fine if you are. I mean, Under Defeat doesn't have much of a scoring system anyway.brunoafh wrote:Am I the only one that doesn't care if it's not a 100% super accurate in every possible way port and that just wants to kick back and play it on PS3?
It's perfectly fine if the New Order mode has all sorts of changes, but shmup gamers expect something called "arcade mode" to be as close to the actual arcade gameplay as possible.
Since the Dreamcast is basically NAOMI with less RAM, I guess you can't count on the PS3 and 360 versions to be as accurate as that.
Anyway, enjoy. I've still gotta to pop in my Dreamcast CD-R and see if my initial impressions when I first played the game were wrong. perhaps I'll love it once I try it again.
