Why Is There No Jade Empire 2 Yet?

Isn't Jade Empire Bioware's highest rated game? I fucking loved it. I think I prefer it over Mass Effect. I would have rather had them work on this than The Old Repbulic MMO. Has Bioware stated why they have not yet made this game? Just really curious.

I don't think there's a sequel because as great as it may have been, I think it was their lowest selling console RPG of the pas 10 years. Not a flop or anything, but it was no Mass Effect or KOTOR in terms of money made.

They've mentioned it as something they'd be interested in doing, but haven't given a definitive reason. I'd just assume they're busy making other stuff.

While not exactly the same, you might check out the Factions campaign for Guild Wars as it's a fairly similar world.

Don't think we're getting KoTOR 3, since that's what SWTOR effectively is. Though that's what I wish it was too. I mean, you can still solo your way through that, but the gameplay is fairly tedious. I picked it up hoping to play it as a solo game, but I can't play it for long without getting bored out of my mind.

I personally consider SWTOR being a MMO to be one of my 5 biggest disappointments of this generation.

I'm not completely for or against them (I mean, I've played FFXI almost continuously since NA release) but SWTOR just fails to be fun or satisfying to play.

My expectation was that I could play it like Guild Wars (though that falls a lot more into the Diablo camp, not really an MMO). Just push through story content - which for Guild Wars I (mostly) was able to do in around 130ish hours (still some GW1->GW2 bridge content I can do).
SWTOR I have 60ish days left on my subscription and I don't even want to play it, and usually I power straight through Bioware games.

I was not aware that Jade Empire did not sell well. Since it got super high ratings (Xbox's highest rated game I believe), I assumed it was a huge success. All they need to do is promote it hardcore like they did with Mass Effect 2.

Not really, lol. They came out recently to make sure everyone knows ME3 isn't the end of the ME universe, probably just Shepard's story.
