Xbox 360 Makes the Mass Effect Sound During Startup

Anyone else experience this? My Xbox 360 often makes the Mass Effect logo sound during the Startup sceen. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the sound you hear at around 1:23 of this video when the ME logo appears:

What's weird is that it doesn't do this every time. Only sometimes. And this has been happening since about last May.

I've heard of this. Over time, it will happen more and more frequently. It will also have a hard time playing games other than Mass Effect. Eventually, it will boot straight to Mass Effect every time you power on the system, and you will never be able to play anything else on it again.

Haha, so I'm the only one that has had this happen? I'm going to start recording my tv every time I turn my Xbox on because no one believes me.

Good idea. My 360 (when it wasn't dead) never had any boot-up irregularities.

Some special 360's have special start up sounds. You don't happen to have a Mass Effect one, do you?

Or, possibly some kind of update problem thinking your 360 was a Mass Effect one. Hard to tell.

Nope, a 4gb slim with 250gb hdd. again, it only does this sometimes. randomly. and it definitely is the Mass effect sound. ive had friends confirm it. im not crazy lol.

I dunno about startup. But sometimes right before I rage quit, I heard Shao Kahn laugh and say "You will never win!"
