Whats your top 5 bands?
In no particular order
Bjork
Opeth
Porcupine Tree
Dream Theater
Megadeth
Probably... I dunno. I just like anything progressive or technical.
I like all kinds of music though. Have a loot at my web link, it has a few of my CDs on it. Most of them are in storage and are on my iTunes server however and I can't be bothered to fish them out and scan them all.

Wowee Zowee takes the blue ribbon imo. I saw SM with a guest appearance by Nasty Nastonovich in Chicago last summer.ott0bot wrote:I've been a fan for a long time. What albums have you been listening too? I really like the first couple albums, but all of thier stuff is good. I picked up the expanded versions of the first too a couple months back. Lots of cool b-sides. I saw them on the Slanted and Enchanted tour, awesome show. Have you checked out any of Stephen Malkumus and the Jicks? Some pavement fans weren't into it, but I liked the second album Pig Lib alot.aisforaquabat wrote: Pavement

Yeah I've been listening to the Wowee Zowee: Sordid Sentinels edition. Jampacked with goodies and a big booklet! Slanted and Enchanted is great as well. People on this board have got some awesome taste in music. Milkmen, Isis, Dinosaur Jr, etc. All good stuff.s1mplehumar wrote:Wowee Zowee takes the blue ribbon imo. Oh, too bad you missed Dinosaur Jr. I haven't seen them since their "reunion" but saw them back in the day. They put on a great show. They don't move around much or anything but J Mascis is a guitar god.PresidentLeever wrote:Some great stuff there. Im still pissed I missed a rare chance to see Dinosaur Jr. about a week ago on a swedish 1-day festival. But I wasn't about to pay ~80$ for 1 day when that's the only band worth seeing.xraydash wrote: Dinosaur Jr. (In a Jar)

I checked out your last fm profile and sent you a friends invite. Despite the "low" rating on the taste-o-meter, we listen to a lot of the same stuff.
And yes, track down some Art Brut. I absolutely love that band!

Hmmm... a pavement conversation eh? This is something I cannot pass up. Wowie Zowie is damn good but my favorite album goes to the special edition slanted and enchanted. Trigger cut and silence kit are just neat. I'm going to go see Stephen and the jicks at lollapolloza this summer, and I hear he is playing pavement songs now so I'm psyched. Solo stuff is okay, the earliest is the best. Really the only pavement album that isn't amazing is brighten the corners... then again maybe I just haven't given it a chance. If you haven't already guessed, pavement is my favorite band, infact, check out these shoes my girlfriend made for me, pretty nifty eh? Very glad to see my love for pavement is shared throughout these forums. http://img71.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pic0054ei9.jpgaisforaquabat wrote:Yeah I've been listening to the Wowee Zowee: Sordid Sentinels edition. Dino jr eh... saw them a couple of months back, rocked just as hard as I expected to them, which was even cooler because they all look so old now. Here's a couple of pics. Kinda shaky... but hey its a camera phone and I was too busy dancing my ass off.xraydash wrote:Oh, too bad you missed Dinosaur Jr. I haven't seen them since their "reunion" but saw them back in the day. Shit I completely forgot about FNM. I LOVE that band. I love every single one of their albums, all for different reasons. They're all so different! Plus I love Mr Bungle. If you haven't already you need to listen to California. It's a masterpiece.gradualmeltdown wrote:The Orb (new album sucks![]()
