Darkadia.com
Anyone use this site? I've found it beats keeping a list of all the games you own, and its design is pretty glossy and intuitive. I believe it's still in beta and there are still some rough edges, for example there isn't a good way to narrow your search when searching for a game. Also, while its directory of games is pretty comprehensive, I still found some pretty glaring missing titles, like Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy.
Below is an example of the profile presentation, sorry for the blurriness.

Re: Darkadia.com
Thanks for showing me this site! Call me vain, but I like how it has the cover art of each game displayed on virtual wooden shelves, it looks really cool. And I love the way you can just drag the frames over and keep looking at your collection uninterrupted.
I finally finished playing with everything and added my collection, which is here:
http://darkadia.com/member/BurningDoom/library
They could really use some more social stuff added to the site like a message board, expanded details for your profile like a bio and collection description, and a way for members to message each other.
At the same time, I just now discovered that I can add pictures of my collection (up to a limit) on RF Generation, as well as a collection description. I feel like a complete idiot for not realizing how to do this before or that I even could. So I think I might be using both sites now, lol. Here's my RF Generation profile to see the pics:

Re: Darkadia.com
I've been using http://www.vgcollect.com
I don't believe it's in beta but there doesn't seem to be a lot of work going on to input correct images of carts and box art for games.
There's a pretty sweet android app you can get for free that lets you view your current collection so you don't buy duplicates. Or if you want to buy duplicates.
App is still got some bugs. Site works great for me.

Re: Darkadia.com
after the RFGeneration crash, I'm sort of reluctant to relist my collection on there again. Which is a shame because I really liked the Android app that would sync to it. With that in mind, does anyone use any other tracking site that also has a good (free) Android app?

Same here, especially considering it happened only a few weeks after I'd finally finished listing all of mine. RFGeneration's method of adding games to your collection isn't the most intuitive thing in the world either.noiseredux wrote:after the RFGeneration crash, I'm sort of reluctant to relist my collection on there again.
If any of these sites make adding to your collection quick and easy, I'll definitely have to give them a good look.

Re: Darkadia.com
same. Guess I'm looking for whatever is nice and simple, and has a good database which include imports, etc. I guess it doesn't have to have Android app, as long as it's something non-bloated that would load up easy on a mobile browser.AppleQueso wrote: If any of these sites make adding to your collection quick and easy, I'll definitely have to give them a good look.

took another look at Darkadia...
I don't know, it's nice and flashy looking, but it's a bit TOO flashy to be a practical means of keeping track of your collection to me.

Re: Darkadia.com
that's my thought as well. Sure it's kind of neat like "oh LOOK at the pictures," but that's a bit bloated for what should essentially be a list you can quickly scroll through.AppleQueso wrote:took another look at Darkadia...

Re: Darkadia.com
I'd love a video game collection site similar to RateYourMusic
There's a link to it in my music&movies link thing in my sig. It doesn't actually work all that well for movies (that part of the site's in beta), but I love using it to keep up with my music collection.
EDIT: vgcollect looks nice, though the layout of the site feels a little cramped. If it's simple to add games though I might use it anyway
