I know you can turn the obelisk scanner on, its confusing. Amazingly I haven't been so confused with other game radars. I guess I am the one with the problem.

I tested many ledges in different levels, never fell.

I am on the last level, I am not quitting now.

It was amazingly well done. The controls were great with dual joysticks, the framerate and textures are improved, and yeah. However, it's almost like comparing a console shmup with slowdown to an arcade version that has no slowdown... basically the XBL version is a bit harder in that regard without the slowdown, haha. I still managed to beat Perfect Agent though, lol. It was brutal, I think I had the hardest time with that submarine level and of course the damn Skedar ship.

A real shame we got crappy Goldeneye remakes instead of a port like this that just updated a few things.

It is a great port like Xeogred said; I believe I bought it on sale for $5 last year. If anyone is willing to make a match, I'll be more than glad to play with you guys :)

Ok this is how it ended.

After playing for like 2hrs or maybe 3 repeating the final level, testing it, and memorizing the enemy positions, my final mission took me 18 min of tip-toe-ing through the level just in case some random thing jumps in my face.

I reached the final boss and died, that is it. I finally put off this game.

It just doesn't make sense that a guy who is game savvy like me, played many games on different consoles, can not complete this game on EASY after playing the level multiple times, reading the FAQ about it, watching walkthrough videos, and even using a cheat. What will an average guy who picked this game for himself or his kid do? Can u imagine how it will be if this game was released in '95 with no internet to read from or videos to watch? Whats getting to me is that this is on EASY.

I reached the final boss with a red life-meter, I believe it will take me just one hit to die, and my ammunition was almost over.Only to find that the final boss is a pretty much a difficult fight! Thats it...
This is not acceptable to me and I don't care what others think. I decided to stop playing this game because the developer just made it too hard for others to enjoy.

Luckily this game was released after the internet was mainstream. It is a difficult game, but it is not that bad, I beat the game the week it came out in 2000. However going to play it now on the HD rerelease, I realize it is much harder that it was. I did get turned around several times when playing it - just like you, but eventually I found my way. And it was never as frustrating for me as it seems to have been for you. I have to agree with some of the others and say that maybe you were coddled by modern shooters, I know I was.

Truth be told, I could live without ever playing through the single player again, aslong as I have that sweet sweet multiplayer.

Fine, accepted. But you just have to remember I am the kind of gamer that comes behind the hardcore ones, if it is too difficult to me on easy, I only wonder how they were thinking on making money selling it to other casual gamers. Maybe it explains why this game had poor sales, yet again, there were some pretty popular games that I hardly know any one that completed them.

@fastbilly
I get what you are saying, and maybe you are more skilled than me. But what is really getting to me is this is the EASY level??!?
I can understand if its as at least medium or hard, but this is no where on easy!

When I switched the game on and chose my default choice on all games "medium", I figured this game is tough! I should go on the easier level and enjoy it. But DAMN!!

Poor sales? I mean it didn't blow anything out of the water but it still sold 2.5 million copies.

Crap then, I got a bad source of news. I don't know where I read this but I heard that due to its late release sales were extremely below expectations.

Where can we get stats on how many units each game sold?

Any way, since we are still here on the topic.

Perfect Dark or 007 for multiplayer?

Never played multiplayer on Perfect Dark but Goldeneye is definitely awesome. "The man with the Golden Gun" and "The Living Daylights" (basically capture the flag) are very suspenseful and fun.

Perfect Dark is the better multiplayer in general. For one you can set up large teams with bots! Surprisingly the bots aren't idiotic either, they can be very good at killing you.
