Gravity Rush.....god this game is a miracle.

Post by JC48573 »

I actually played the demo and man was I amazed by it. I was wondering why most games felt....empty, but this game....is the game I've been looking for a long time. It even makes the PSVita special just because of the game. I dare to say that this game puts most home console games to shame. Yes, I mean it! Then of course, that is only my opinion. Kat is such a badass and that's because she's simply being herself.

So, why do you think it's so special? It looks interesting, but I didn't get a "OMG!!!" vibe from it when I played the demo.

All those console games I've played and how critics claim them to be the best in industry, but still failed to impress me?! This game is the OMG to me.

Also played the demo for this game. Now my most anticipated Vita game besides the new Project Diva. It was actually my first time using the Vita as well. The build quality is miles ahead of the 3DS, PSP, DSi, etc. that may not translate into sales, but it feels very solid. I wish the buttons were larger, but they're fine.

Loving this game so far, my only minor gripe is that the sensitivity on the right analog stick feels a bit too high. I think this is more a hardware issue than a problem with the game itself

The main character is cool and I'm finding the story engaging. The graphics and art style are amazing!

There's a great comic book panel approach to storytelling. I've seen this before, but not quite done so well. You actually swipe your finger across the screen to advance these story sequences as if turning an actual page of a comic book. Plus, you can move the camera around in these sequences by moving your Vita creating a neat 3D effect

If you think only the 3DS can have fun with 3D you're wrong.

The game also has actual cut scenes too and they are gorgeous

The gravity shifting is interesting. I feel like I have to re-wire my brain a bit to get used to it. It definite adds a new dynamic to platforming and combat

The Vita's definitely got some good games. This and Dokuro are cool.

I really didn't enjoy Gravity Rush. I appreciate what they were trying to do with the game, and if they had done it competently, it would have been a wonderful game, but the clumsy controls, bland side-missions, infuriating combat system, and the fact that flying around is a lot more boring than it should be makes the game a tragic mess. if they make a sequel, I hope they fix the game from the ground up, because the concept and visual style are very appealing.
