girlfriend wants to start playing video games

so my girl is coming to stay with me for the weekend and she asked me to teach her how to play video games. any suggestion on some fun 2 player games that would be good for her to get into? only one i can think of off the top of my head would be guardian heroes but im open to any suggestions.

Earlier systems's game are simpler but newer stuff might put her off.

Secret of Mana, which is what my girlfriend and I are playing now. Also, Mario Kart 64 and Contra if she likes to shoot things.

Although, yeah, knowing what systems to recommend games for might help.

Any light gun games, period. Every time a a non-gamer of any gender comes over to my house and says, "Nick, I wanna play a video game," It's almost always straight to Virtua Cop. Or Resident Evil rail shooters on the Wii, but saying the wiimote makes a good light gun is like saying boots make good running shoes.

Otherwise, Bomberman and Mario Kart.

Have basically every mainstream system except neo geo but i have an hd tv so lightgun games are not an option unless its on the wii
