If there were interest, I could make a few conversions for those w/superguns too. Cost is about $125-130 - all dependent on how often / easily I can source dead boards from more common games.

Oh no, I may have phrased it wrong - I can do cps2 conversions, but not superguns. With that said, unless you want a gorgeous / epic supergun, you can grab them for $100-150, or less if you want an absolutle barebones setup like a vogatek. Those should be fine so long as you're on a relatively small monitor - anything over 25" though and you def want at a minimum s-video, or preferably RGB or component.

Ah, gotcha. My monitor is 35 inch, and has s vid and rgb (vga and bnc). So, a cheapo might not do me.

No, you want something more substantial then for sure. A Sigma or Blast City SG maybe.

I just had a nice run but that stage 4 boss is a dick. Hoping to get one more good go in before dinner, else i'll just post this one later.

Eh, i'm improving score-wise, but still really struggling mid-way through stage 4.

I feel like once I can survive to that boss w/some bombs in my pocket i'll hit stage 5 and my score will go way up. The chaining really picks up at the end of 3 and then all through 4 - should be at 7mil or so at start of stage 5...

So where are you after each stage so far:
Me,
Stage 1 - 600K
Stage 2 - 1.8-1.9 mil
Stage 3 - 3.3-3.5 mil
Stage 4 - ???? (I'm thinking 6.5-7mil)

Man, that monitor I was mentioing above is whack right now, and of course, its the only monitor I can hook my laptop up to. So, my progear runs will be gimped a bit until I can figure out how to fix it.

But yeah dude, get a cab or two, where you are you should be able to grab 2 astros for like $1,100 total. One hori / one vert.
