Gameplay footage was released for a 3DS game that looks an awful lot like Guardian Heroes, in terms of gameplay. Not officially a spiritual successor, but certainly believable if a Sega/Treassure name was slapped onto the video.

It is being developed by Agatsuma Entertainment, known for games like... Pocket Pets?
