The best part about this is the way Simon walks. The rest was Robot Chicken.

Kotaku published a really nice article on the sine wave patterns of Medusa heads. It may sound boring and nerdy, but it's......boring and nerdy.

Still, if you value physics and enjoy a hefty dose of scientific algorithm within your videogame article, then this read will pleasantly kill 10-15 minutes of your time...

If it was already mentioned in this thread, sorry, but what is the best Castlevania title on the GBA? I just got one and I want some decent games. I was looking at Aria of Sorrow.

Aria's definitely the best of the three GBA titles.

All of the Castlevanias on GBA are worth playing (and imo much better than the still decent DS iterations) but you can play them in any order. I did CotM>HoD>Aria and I loved them all.

Does Lament of Innocence get any better than how it starts off?

To a degree. You have to put a few hours into it before the plot begins to unravel favorably. Also, if I remember correctly, you'll back track to Rinaldo's hut a few times, and they make for some good storyline conversations.

My personal Castlevania top list goes like this:
1. Castlevania Bloodlines/the New Generation
2. Castlevania Order of Ecclesia
3. Castlevania
4. Castlevania Legends

Then it's pretty much a draw between the other GB titles and Castlevania 3. I never really cared for the GBA installments or Dawn of Sorrow. I prefer the earlier style. Gothic environments like graveyards, dark forests and castles with simplistic gameplay is what I think of when I hear "Castlevania". The newer metroid style games were to heavy on the RGP influences for my taste.

i love the metroidvania games but i almost always needed a walkthrough as i would often get so very lost, i find castlevania 4 to be the best the other castlevanias seemed that the difficulty came from the stiff sluggish controls. 4 was perfect in my eyes i hope they make a beautiful castlevania 5 in 2d in the same vein as rayman origins. that is my dream

Been away from RB for too long, and I can't find a better excuse to get back into the ol' community spirit than the awesome 'Vania news from the past couple weeks..

What's the verdict on the new games?? (I'm happy there's two new games to look forward to, as opposed to just one.)

Lords of Shadow 2 looks....Lords of Shadowy. Well, at least from the trailer. But, OH MAN, what a trailer! If you wanted to get me excited for the sequel, THAT was a damn good way to do so! (Spoiler alert: You might want to make sure you finish the first LoS game before viewing.)

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, (gee, since when did Capcom start naming Vania games?) however, looks freakin' amazing! Lords of Shadow graphics with 2D Metroidvania gameplay. It should be the game to play for all of the Lords of Shadows critics out there. Plus, we can now officially see where Gabriel stands on the Belmont heirarchy, as it's been officially stated that Gabriel is the father of Trevor. I know I already have a few apprehensions about that fact, but for the time being, I'll put them aside until I can get my hands on this game!
Trailer
Again, spoilers for those who haven't beaten LoS... Beware.
