X2 is my favorite in the series. It easily had the best story.

But X-Men: First Class was right after it, IMO. It had such style, and a cool story. And Magneto was just such a bad ass in it.

Did you miss the whole point of the X-Men? Equality and tolerance is kind of their thing.
Right, I don't understand X-Men because I don't like having the themes forcibly shoved down my throat. Makes sense.

Can this be moved to the comic book thread or even the last movie you've seen thread?

Perhaps just consolidate and make 1 Movie Thread for movies, trailers, upcoming releases, movie related news, etc.

I might watch First Class again to see if I can find some "so bad it is sublime" humor in the movie. I was excited for the movie's release, but was super disappointed that the movie was basically people sitting around talking about their name and what their powers were. The CGI was terrible, but maybe if I watch the movie as I do with Nicholas Cage movies, I might be able to just laugh my ass off the entire time.

You might enjoy it for January Jones' "acting." Then again, I've never laughed at a blank wall before.

Although not shaped like one, she certainly is stiff as a board. I wonder if at some point the editor said "I think instead of actually editing, I'll use the first take for every one of Jones' lines".

But you never know, with all the source material to chose from, the sequel has potential to be great.

You don't seriously think Wolverine was better than First Class, do you?

Then yeah, you don't like X-Men. Because that is what the whole concept centers around. If it's not your thing, that's fine. But to complain about it is like compaining about Superman for being the ultimate boyscout, it's his thing.

I liked the first X-Men movie, but it suffered a bit from them not being able to make up their minds about what they wanted to do with the script. For example, they had hired Joss Whedon to work on the script and then only used some of his ideas in the final product. This lead to some awkward moments like that awful toad joke from Storm, which wasn't delivered quite the way Joss had intended

When with people learn? Let Joss do whatever he wants to do. Most of the time he's got the right idea
