as much as it killed me, I have learned that the best rule of thumb is ALWAYS be willing to walk away. BTW, eBay affirmed that I could get a sealed copy for $32 shipped if I were so inclined.s1mplehumar wrote:My man. Negotiate down to the last buck! $20 was a good deal! Still, I understand that it's better in the long run when you're at a flea market. Gotta build a reputation.

Dude I would get that game now before it vanishes like everything else by NIS. Is it quite good.noiseredux wrote:as much as it killed me, I have learned that the best rule of thumb is ALWAYS be willing to walk away. You don't have a Wii, do you? That version is cheaper but doesn't include all the extra stuff.

I've been thinking about getting this for a while, so now I have to ask: What extra stuff?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Dude I would get that game now before it vanishes like everything else by NIS. Is it quite good.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
it's more that when I go to flea markets, yard sales, etc, I'm not looking for eBay prices, or even just a little less. I'm looking for great deals. I bring a bit of $, and want to find as much as I can for that budget. I would have been spending almost half of my loot on that one game and still had a lot more vendors to visit. And in all honesty, if you're patient you can easily nab it for $20-$25 on eBay anyway. Plus, the guy was really a jerk to me so that made me less inclined to put money is pocket.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:$20 was a good deal! The PS2 premium version has two discs. Both contain the same game, one is an English voice-over, the other Japanese. There's also a poster and an artbook. The actual instruction manual is bigger than standard size and looks pretty cool too.Michi wrote:I've been thinking about getting this for a while, so now I have to ask: What extra stuff?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Dude I would get that game now before it vanishes like everything else by NIS. Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Every February, my wife and I take a trip to Asheville, North Carolina for the Grove Park Inn Arts & Crafts Conference. During the trip, she spends an afternoon shopping for antiques, art pottery, etc., and I go video game hunting. I had a pretty good run this year; so, I thought that I would share a picture with the group:
Notable deals this year include:
Castlevania Legends (GB) - $7
Pokemon Blue (GB) - $7
Resident Evil 3 (GC) - $5
TMNT: Hyperstone Heist (GEN) - $8
Shadow Tower (PS1) - $5
King's Field: The Ancient City (PS2) - $5
SOS (SNES) - $5
Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction (XBOX) - $5
(Castlevania Legends (GB) is going on my trade list; so, if anyone is interested, please send me a PM.)
Also - and not pictured - I got a Sega Saturn system and a Secret of Evermore strategy guide for less than $3. Assuming the Saturn works, both of these items will also be going on my trade list.
...
The piece de resistance, however, is:
Finally, I have added this terrible, terrible game to my collection, and I could not be happier. (I played it last night, and it exceeded even my lowest expectations.)
