With Bit.Trip Complete out, why would anyone buy the downloadable versions? I mean, unless you only wanted to play one of them, it's a much better deal.

That's a good question. I picked up the demos but only because they were free and I had the room on a SDHC card but if you don't like physical media or only want a game or two that the WiiWare versions work well.

Top 25 WiiWare Games:
1. Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth
2. Arkanoid Plus!
3. Pokemon Rumble
4. Bit.Trip Series
5. Art Style Series
6. Cave Story
7. Jett Rocket
8. FAST - Racing League
9. Mega Man 10
10. MDK2
11. Excitebike: World Rally
12. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

Ok, then perhaps they should both just be listed as a series - instead of rotohex, just have 'art style series' and instead of bit.trip.beat just have 'bit.trip series'. All the entries in both of those series are worthy of appearing on this list, it seems odd to leave them off.

Also: Swords & Soldiers

A 2D side scrolling RTS game by the makers of De Blob (the original PC freeware, not the wii game). It's pretty fun and you get a whole host of crazy characters and abilities, even if sometimes the game can hit a stalemate for quite some time.

I agree with this suggestion. Both series of games represent some of the very best options available on WiiWare... yet are fully independent experiences. Listing a general "Bit.Trip/Art Style series" entry also saves space for other great games to be added.

As for actual suggestion... LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias. The second entry in this series improves over the first in many ways, and despite being (intentionally) slow-paced ends up being one of the most enjoyable exploration/platformers on the console. It also used the pointer controls in a meaningful way, making it ideal - and exclusive - for Wii.

Not sure what happened to the LostWinds series these days. It seems like the story should continue with another sequel... maybe now that every console has some form of motion controls it could be cross-platform? I bet it could even be ported over to iOS with a bit of effort. Hopefully more gamers get the chance to enjoy this gem.

Edit: Note that I'm even following the rules this time. There are several games that I will add later if given the opportunity... but going to give other people a chance to contribute first.

Completely by accident - it's a great game and certainly deserves to be on the list! I still didn't get all of the achievements though, some of them are ridiculously tough*. Fixed now in my previous post.

*Disclaimer: I'm not very good at the game.

15. And yet it moves

I've had fun with this puzzle platformer, I really liked the paper look of the game.
