Adding to the epic rpg's, I nominate secret of mana. I'm surprised it's not up here already. The co-op alone makes it a worthy one. :)
First post btw.

It was the other zelda , Came out a year after the one of the best zelda games ever.

But it was just as good.

An action RPG from Enix!

Played it when I was a kid, but never owned it untill some years ago. It brought me many memories from my childhood and It was a competent game from start to finish.

Hearing the iconic opening theme song was a blast after so many years!

I believe its also on virutal console too, so you have no excuse not to play it!

This looks great! Thanks for sharing it. It's too bad the original cart goes for about $40, from what I just saw. I don't like getting Virtual Console releases, but in this case I might.

I don't typically like putting multi-platform games on lists like this, but this is another one where the SNES version is clearly superior, although the Genesis does have an exclusive song. This game's soundtrack and audio is a big part of its appeal and it's just much better on the SNES version. Anyway, this game rocks! You're racing other cars while using weapons to blow them to bits! All while listening to a cool soundtrack featuring songs like:

"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath
"The Peter Gunn Theme" by Henry Mancini
"Highway Star" by Deep Purple
"Radar Love" by Golden Earring (only in the Mega Drive/Genesis version)
"Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf
"Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood

and you have an awesome announcer guy adding to the entertainment with his great commentary over all the insane action. When you're kicking ass, it's nice to hear someone actually saying so. On top of all this, you can buy different upgrades for your car and even switch to superior vehicles as the game goes on. It's actually kind of cool deciding between a better model vehicle or sticking with the already fully upgraded, wheeled, weapon of destruction you've been using. The game also gets bonus points for having Olaf from The Lost Vikings for those of you who are fans of that game(which I really want to play one of these days) and it's a Blizzard game. This is probably my favorite 2D racer period. Just having a game where you race other guys to the finish line is boring. Having one where you're firing missiles and dropping mines to blow guys to bits while jamming out to Black Sabbath's Paranoid is my idea of a good time. Screw Mario Kart! I'll take this over ANY Mario Kart game

Plok isn't a superb platformer, but it is solid and has charm. It is tough as nails. It's graphics are better than the average platformer cash-in. It has some nice details that aren't apparent at first. It belongs in the top 200. I'm just glad this is an overall top 200, because I'm not sure plok belongs in the top 100.

Nice, that's one I had planned on nominating myself. Great choice
