Nintendo 3DS
Re: Nintendo 3DS
I enjoyed the MGS3D demo and hear that the finished game is much more polished. Can't wait to pick it up Tuesday!

I'm enjoying these demos; it influenced me to go and pick up RE: Revelations over MGS3D.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I'd pick it up over MGS3 just because it's NEW. As awesome as it is to see MGS3 running on a portable, I'm getting a little tired of these ports. Starfox 64, Ocarina of Time, 3D Classics Kirby's Adventure, 3D Classics Excitebike, etc, etc. Can we maybe get some new content on the 3DS?swiftzx wrote:I'm enjoying these demos; it influenced me to go and pick up RE: Revelations over MGS3D.

I'm kinda diggin the ports personally, since they're of a lot of games I have yet to play. And now I get to enjoy them in an optimized portable version.
But I digress, as they need to be pushing out more BRAND new content. Like Revelations and Super Mario 3D Land.
I'm also really excited for this Rhythm Theif game. Has anyone else looked into that title?

Beat the MGS demo. I'm going to pass on this one.
Visuals- they looked okay. 3D effect- Neat but the 3D effect gets killed whenever I slightly move...
The controls were atrocious. I'm sure with the circle pad attachment the controls would be improved drastically. But that makes the game about $60 plus tax... It probably won't help the 3DS version's sales considering they already released (and I already purchased!) the HD Collection.
They should have released the HD Collection quite some time after this release as I now don't have a single reason to purchase this. Pretty messed up marketing (...then again, how many PS3/360 owners also have a 3DS?) Maybe this port will get decent sales.

I am. I'm a big fan of Rhythm Heaven/Elite Beat Agent on ds and am happy that rhythm games are continuing with Theathrhythm (probably spelled wrong) Final Fantasy and Rhythm Thief.scarper wrote:I'm also really excited for this Rhythm Theif game. Has anyone else looked into that title?

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Yeah, all of these portable ports just feel like a way to make money. I mean really, what does something like Rayman Origins on the Vita have over the already existing console versions? I mean it's awesome to see that portables can run regular console games, but why not use that power to pump out more portable games that are of the same caliber as the best console games instead of just porting them?Opa Opa wrote:Beat the MGS demo. Any original JRPGs on the horizon? (Devil Survivor Overclocked and Tales of the Abyss are remakes)
